It was better before

I spent a couple years away from Novant, so didn’t have the app for a while. Previously, the app was speedy, easy to use and locate my info, and I didn’t dread when I needed it. Now, it’s incredibly slow (as in I can’t even get to a log in screen inside 5 minutes right now) and figuring out where I need to go for what I’m looking for is awful. It would be awesome to have my prior doctors in my record pop to the top when I have to search for a doctor.

As a patient user of the app, I would like the app to be fast so I can do what I need to do between meetings or in the small openings during my day.

As a patient user of the app, I would like for the app to be user friendly and easy to follow so that I don’t have to hunt around for things I need, like making appointments, seeing already scheduled appointments, and communications.

Is the app down?

I haven’t been able to log into my app for the paste week. Is there a known bug that they’re working through? It’s frustrating because I can’t access mychart (I’ve had two test results and three appointments) unless I log into the browser.

Love this app!

Novant is by far the best! In 2019 I battled lymphoma with another hospital. They never kept me up to date with anything.

In 2020 it came back. I was a wreck. I had test after test done and blood work every day. I downloaded the app and I see the results (most of them) the same day. Some requires longer. I could easily access everything while going through treatment. I kept up with it especially when I was worried. My husband was able to use the app with ease through the whole process. It’s been 3 years post treatment and I still love it it connects with my drs and I can easily send a message to them. They would reply fast.

Their new update was confusing at first but I quickly figured it out and I think it’s better. It’s got it’s flaws but I really love it.
All in all. I would recommend this app and novant to anyone. I’m alive thanks to them! 😃

The worst perming app on my iPhone 13pro

This is by far the worst performing app on my iPhone 13 Pro that I’ve ever had. This is also the very first review I ever felt that I needed to make. The app takes 1-2 minutes to load if it loads. Or if you actually get lucky enough for it to load and then takes a minute to open anything with in the app, messages, my chart, test results, ETC. Just an all around horrible performance on one of the most needed apps on your phone

When it works, it’s great…

It should be noted that I am very annoyed right now because I’ve been trying to fill out the long medical history info for visit with new doc and it has signed me out three times…and erased all the info when it does. There should be a way to stay signed in. I know it can be done because I don’t have this issue with Carilion MyChart.

Besides that, it’s great. It has proven to be a very effective way to communicate directly with docs and being able to review my own labs and imaging. I’m one of those phone-phobic introverts who hates talking on the phone, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. If only they would fix the auto-signing out issue, I would give it a solid 4.5 stars.

I love my app

I find the Novant app very easy to use to manage me and my child’s account. I’m able to communicate with my doctors, get important docs etc with ease. I also get text alerts to tell me when to check the app which is super helpful for my hectic life.

App Not Secure!

Novant pretty much forces patients to use the app for everything. But it’s not that secure. No 2-Step Authentication or is that feature buried somewhere within the app?

And the billing feature does not offer option to dispute or question a bill that is incorrect/needs to be reviewed for accuracy. BUT it or somewhere in the Novant/app stratosphere sends text messages and other reminders including snail mail ad nauseam to pay a bill. Not a problem except when a bill is disputed but what if I only want one type of billing notice which I prefer to be via the app.

It really is upsetting that the app does not offer—to my knowledge—the “two-step authentication” option. Sigh.

In the past you could send messages
Directly to Doctor. Now it limits you, you all are going backwards get you a new programmer.

Weird

Sometimes it just shows me a stock photo and never loads. The photos are alarming, unrealistic, and annoying.

Tells me there is an update but no update found in app store

App opens and tells me i have to update. I get taken to the app store on ios and there is no update available.
