New update is worse
The new update has created issues connecting to the grill. Layout to me is not as nice and previous. Would be nice to have cook times/ temp through a cool.
New app worse than the old
The new app not only is less intuitive, it also seems to have a harder time maintaining connection to my grill. Thankfully, there is still the old fashioned manual controls.
Worked fine before update
Now not getting any notifications from the app and constantly having to sign back in.
Poor thermometer reading and poor app
Like many reviews, the thermometer is way off. If I’d had known this problem before hand I would bought a reqtec. I do have other thermometers to get by but that’s not the point- so don’t bring it up. If you sell a product that’s supposed to be accurate just make it that way. Next it’s the new app update. Well all that opens is a black blank screen, yeah that’s great. Hope this company figures it out because word of mouth is still the best referral program for it against a product.
I will say this, I have the silverback and the front shelf is a must have. The grill should just include it.

Worst app I’ve seen in a long time.
I downloaded this app when I got my wifi control board. The app routinely crashes, goes to a blank screen and worst of all won’t connect to my grill at all. When I called customer service I was told they would look into it and call me back in 1-2 days… that was about 3 months ago and no call.
Works Great
Have been using this on the silverback and it works flawlessly.
Good App but one suggestion
Just put my Silverbac together last week. On my second cook. App works very well most of the time. Disconnects now and then. My one suggestion is that the developers add a stopwatch in addition to the timer functionality. Just use native clock app on my phone but if it were in the app, that would be great. Timer + stopwatch = winner. Thanks!

So bad
Customer service is 5 stars. They sent me a new alpha board to replace my board that stopped working. I can’t get this app to work, it keeps failing, I have to close and reopen. Logs me out every time. And screen shifts and you can’t even see what’s there. I can’t even connect to my wifi because I can’t see what’s on the sceeen.

Good app with room for next level improvement
Very easy to use can quickly manage my grill while out running errands vs having to babysit a fire all day!
Would love to see a few implementations:
1. iOS widget(with iOS 17 would love to change grill temp on the fly)
2. iOS shortcut implementation. Would be great to have a shortcut to set my grill to 225 with a shortcut I can add to Home Screen.
3. Apple Watch capabilities. Would like to be able to have a watch face with my meat probe temperature!

When are you going to fix this app?
The connectivity is horrible. Works a few times then stops. It’s random too. Sometimes it will work 4 cooks, sometimes 2, others, once. Have to do a full factory reset. Everything on my end is set correctly to the proper frequency. It just stops connecting. There has to be a fix, otherwise I wouldn’t advertise a $1000 grill as wifi compatible.
