  • Holy cow it’s bad.

This app is an absolute nightmare to use. If you need a charging station in Orlando, be prepared to spend more time figuring out this app than actually charging your vehicle. The design is horrendous—completely unintuitive and riddled with inconsistent icons, poor navigation, and a confusing layout that makes even the simplest task feel impossible.

The instructions are vague, and half the time they don't even correspond with the app’s buttons. Want to start charging? Good luck. You'll be tapping aimlessly through poorly labeled menus, unsure if you’re making progress or just going in circles. I’ve never encountered an app with such a broken design language—colors and buttons seem random, as if different teams made them without talking to each other.

To make matters worse, it often crashes or freezes, leaving you stranded without a clear idea of whether your session has even started. It’s clear that no thought was put into user experience. Avoid this app if you value your time and sanity.

  • Awful, lacks critical functionalities.

App fails to display percentage of charge of vehicle.
Only “slow” chargers available with no option to filter for fast chargers.
Doesn’t send essential notifications such as when the charger fails (it did) or when the charge is done, so you’re left checking the app repeatedly.
Requires you to put money in in advance, so you’ll probably overspend and be stuck using the app to get your money (doesn’t refund the amount you didn’t use.

    Awful experience.

  • Download the correct one people!

    Make
Sure you download the right app before you put money in it.
  • Most chargers not working

    My experience in Dunedin Florida.
One set of chargers working off Highland and Main.
I could not get the one charger at the library to charge but it cost me $1.50 to try.

Why not install chargers which operate like gas pumps. No apps required.
  • Wasted time and no juice

As others have said, these chargers make you prepay some indeterminate amount and if you guess too low it won't let you initiate a charge session. This is totally unacceptable if you're just passing through the city and won't regularly be using the chargers. Ended up having to drive to the nearest EA charger instead where they don't make you jump through all these ridiculous hoops just to charge your electric vehicle.

  • Confusing and deceptive

I was very happy to see a charging station at an event that I went to. However it was not easy

The charging station said to download “ChargeUp”. Which I did. The app had me pay $4.99 to sign up. I did. I tried changing and could not get it to work.

I call customer service from the number on the charger, and was told that I needed to download “ChargeUp Driver”. I was upset that I had paid money to another app due to incorrect instructions on the charger. I was told to ask for a refund from the other company which I did not get.

Once I had the correct app, I added $5. It still did not work. I called customer service again and after 40 minutes on the phone, got the charger to work and charged for an hour.

The next day, I tried to charge again and as others have experienced, received the insufficient funds message. I called support again and was told that I needed $10 on the account. Nowhere does it say this. I was not ready to give more money to the company because I did not need $10 worth of charging.

While the support people were all friendly, this was a terrible experience.

  • Unnecessarily Complicated

Cluttered interface and confusing navigation, making it frustrating to use.
  • Not that bad

I just read a previous comment where the individual was saying that there was no clear sign of what number unit you are in front of, but there is, it’s literally on the side of the machine where you scan to charge. There’s a unit number there and using the same charger every single time I have memorize that number so I could just pull up and put the Number in plug-in and I’m good to go, I hate to say it, but you would have to be some kind of person who isn’t very tech savvy thats putting it kindly. Now I gave it four stars and not five because the previous person who wrote the comment is right about the money loading thing now I understand why they have a certain amount that you have to load and that’s because they know on average how much money it’s gonna take to fully charge one’s car, so they have an average inputted into the app and so they know about how much you should have to put on there which is usually around 5 to 6 dollars. the app is it in fancy smanchy but gets the job done if you just have a little since.

  • Do it right or don’t do it

Horrible app. Difficult to use and had to sign in and out a couple of times to get it to work because it kept freezing. Map doesn’t even load available chargers.
  • Thank you so much Paul
