  • Horrible app

    I usually charge at this station overnight at long trips but they changed from shell charging app to this one. I downloaded the app and wasn’t been able to even register because of “name error”. I ended up towing my vehicle at night to the nearest charging station that was ten miles away which cost me a pretty penny to call a towing company at night with an unusual request. Overall shell charging station was much better that this weird thing.

There are no more minimums, the .75 cent fee was removed, QR code reader was fixed, UI is now fast and user friendly. Also, the size of the app is 60% smaller.   • Terrible platform

    .75 for transaction.
    .12kw to charge? Very disappointed. Formally shell recharge and it use to be for free and convenient. the experience was enjoyable going to the stations and exploring the area and being able to bring business to the local area. Now I’m afraid this is the start of an unfortunate series of events. I use to go to music festival park in milk district. Now it’s overtaken by this platform.

  • .12 per Volt.. Too expensive

    I work out in winter park fl next to blue jack park and its usually where I charge my BMW-i3 for free. The EV station is operated by shell, which is very easy to use and affordable. Today I went to charge my car and this new station is there called ChargeUp . At first I did think it was a bother, so I downloaded the app and proceeded to set up the charge. First problem is that the app is not user friendly, looked kinda scammy. Second problem the freaking scanner for the camera does not work, so I had to type in the terminal to get it started. Next, as I’m about to process the payment, I noticed it was FREAKIN .12 per volt(Kinda expensive at that rate) .. At that point I was like screw it, I’m just do it for today and take it somewhere else tomorrow. Lastly after I started the charge I walked away and as I’m walking away, I looked at my phone to ensure that it was charging, only to find out that it was suspended. ….ChargeUp at this point is disappointing and needs more review…I don’t recommend this EV charging service at this time.

  • Absolute trash

    Thanks for taking usable charge stations and turning them into non-functional statues. Just what we needed. Literally useless.
  • Poor Duke was swindled. App is horrible

    Worst app I’ve encountered in years. Whoever created this knows nothing about iPhone apps. Won’t accept credit cards accepted by every other app. Whoever paid for developing this app was robbed. Sign up password approach is bizarre. I will be sure to avoid these charging stations. Truly sad to see an app so bad in 2022.

  • Horrible user experience

    This is one of the worst apps I’ve used in years. The interface is clunky and doesn’t use any auto fill features. I cannot get it to accept any form of payment, so it is completely useless.

  • If there’s is -5 I would rate

    Worst UX experience. Ask to sign up, then give errors every time you try to log in. Hence, I reached out to Customer service, who say will take a message to call me back during a business hours. What a joke
  • It works, but needs work

    For a company owned or sponsored by Duke energy I kinda expected more. The app works but it’s very basic. It crashes a lot, especially when switching from other apps. The sign up process texts you a complete password but doesn’t prompt to change it. Doesn’t support ApplePay. Has limited information while charging. And charging fees for having to use a credit card to pay is silly. Add a penny to the charge rate and make it flat.

  • Scam

    Charged my card $20 when i did not authorize it!!
  • Total Crap

    App doesn’t work for crap and they are thief’s. I contacted support which the lady was very nice and she attempted to help me so many times but no luck but I asked her if I could get the money back since the charger doesn’t work and neither would the app. She said she put it through and still no money back. I wish they’d stop using this app. Use ChargePoint instead. At least their app works and they don’t steal your money.
