Such a great app for a great cause
Super easy. Great interface. Allowed me to calculate my carbon footprint. For a small subscription they invest in projects that offset my carbon footprint - amazing. This is an easy way that I can do my part against climate change.Mareen.
One of the easiest ways to make a difference
There is a lot of transparency about where your money goes. The carbon ledger helps that sense of transparency. They also show that these projects are independently certified for effectiveness. I admit to being worried about giving money to something I cannot see in person. However, it is a compelling case to give money though Klima: to pool money towards a common cause and use a fraction of that money to attract others to the cause. If I could ask for more: 1) Can we see and hear more stories about the most recent carbon purchases by Klima members? 2) I would love to be able to fine-tune my carbon calculation based on monthly consumption (home energy bill; gas purchases; pounds of meat; and anything else we have control over in our daily lives.)Show lesskpitt0121

Love the idea and the app! For those of you that are climate conscious, this is a great app. Also I’ll say, if you think the subscription is too much, you can always lower it to what you feel comfortable paying - anything helps 🙂award28
Carbon footprint- if you are exactly them
Is the fact you try to reduce your meat the same as actually reducing meat? Or having a car but using a bike more of the time? Or renewable energy versus producing your own.
How about frugal shopping; - I.e I still wear clothes from my twenties. And buy rarely. But still that is an entire tonne!!!
I don’t think this is actually for someone who takes the concept of reduce before offsetting seriously.
I have received feedback for this review implying that being a bit more accurate would judge my lifestyle. However they aim to connect me with climate initiatives.
Still we should be reducing before we offset and some there would be more finance for even better and more local schemes. I am still not impressed with the approach this app is taken and not helping the challenge of climate action in the right wayShow lessscubgirl68

Hi there! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Klima is not meant to judge on peoples lifestyles or represent their lifes 100% accurately. That is simply not possible due to the high amount of assumptions that goes into any modern climate science. Our carbon calculator is meant as guidance on selecting the right amount to offset by providing a good estimation. No more, no less. Even if you live a climate friendly life you may want to convert some of your 'resource money' into direct climate action by funding our wonderful projects. Our mission is to connect people with the best climate initiatives out there — not label your life as good or bad. With that context in mind, please consider your rating. Peace Of Mind
Initially I thought this would be an app to help better understand how to reduce my carbon footprint. Which as most of us know is always a best intention exercise.
What I was presented with was a custom service based off parameters I had chosen, honesty withstanding.
The service negates my impact by using a small fee to offset my carbon footprint, by a variety of activities that have substantial impact on our ailing world.
