Great approach and execution
This is exactly what we need-a streamlined approach to estimate your carbon footprint that allows regular people to get involved without having to be high powered control freaks.
I was a bit worried about how they would deal with offset payments. After looking around though, I feel pretty comfortable with their strategy: most $ (70%) goes directly to offsetting projects while 20% goes to funding “impact marketing” and the final 10% is for a service fee. Initially weird but now I does make sense to me as if done well, engaging outreach/marketing really will help get more and more people involved. Makes sense, is sorely needed (ain’t nuthin’ gonna happen on its own). I’ll hover in undecided land for a while, but I like the idea of offsetting my (and my family’s) carbon footprint via Klima!Show lessWayhead
Good laugh
Calculates your footprint using vague questions and then assures you all you need to do is donate money each month to offset it. And don’t worry you can set up a recurring monthly “donation” right through the app. App is a total agenda-driven money grab scam.MikeD1231989

The footprint calculator is really basic and not very accurate. The app is simple to use but loses accuracy foe the sake of simplicity.Vaperson
Pretty but oversimplified and ineffective
This is not likely to be downloaded by people who need to change their behaviour and for those that do download it, it’s oversimplified to the point of it being useless.
The diet & travel calculations are based on very little input and you don’t select the transport mix. There is no mention of family size that you’ve directly created (ie. making other humans is a huge load on your footprint - it’s not good enough to ignore this and treat them like a separate calculation. Population is critical, especially in wealthy over consuming countries).
It’s pretty and the UI is nice so it’s got that going for it.Show lessnitramluap

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your feedback. Our carbon calculator tries to strike the right balance between complexity and accuracy. But we're working on a "Pro-Mode" for users that want to dive deeper as we speak. You'll be able to enter family members, too. We're quite a young company and have to do things on step at a time, but we're getting there so stay tuned!
