  • Nice!

Heard about the app from cameronbsingin on a different famous app. It's definitely going to help me with meeting my new practice goals, and I'm super excited to see my streak and mood tracker grow as I move forward.

One thing I really really would like to see - and I'm not sure exactly how this would look - is maybe a checklist feature where you can input warm-ups or technical studies and check them off your list during practice session. I guess the same thing could apply to listing pieces you want to study (e.g. "text for Lied", "melody for Lied").

Just upgraded. Super excited to keep using this!
  • Great Motivator!

I really like this ap! I was looking for an ap that could easily track my practice sessions. The Notes feature allows me to track which songs I skipped in a set, which songs I improved on, which songs I knocked out of the park - you get the picture. Now I’m reviewing my notes to see which songs I need to work on. In the past I would have just habitually skipped the hard songs, but now I’m motivated to go ahead and work on them.

Full Disclosure: I got the free version of this ap. After working with it for about a day, I saw the features I could unlock by buying it. I immediately dropped the $5 or so it cost to buy it. I mean, really?? I pay more than that to buy a single album download. To me, this was a no-brainer. I can’t remember which features I unlocked by buying it, but I use the notes section a lot (see above). I also like the fact that I can track my practice sessions in the past week or month, etc. I recorded a practice session, but when I tried to play it back, the replay level was so low it was almost inaudible. That may be because my practice sessions are at a rather high volume - not sure. So I don’t use that feature.

Anyway, I love this ap. It’s great for me and it’s helping me to practice smartly and improve my musical abilities at a rapid rate. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
  • Almost perfect!

There is a lot that I love about this app. It’s great to be able to have multiple profiles to track different areas of your practice. This benefits those working in multiple instruments. It’s simple and pleasant design. I really like the widget functionality so you can quickly start a practice session with a button on your Home Screen! On top of that it’s a very fair price.

There are a few reasons why I have given this 4 stars instead of 5. Mainly that there is no section to create a list for practice material that you can link to your practice sessions. It would be more efficient just click desired material from the list to automatically name the practice session. I think having the option to start a session untitled is good too but at the end of the practice session maybe you could choose to name it or select from your predetermined material in a list. Pipe dreams for me would be to then also save data on time spent practicing specific material.
  • I love this app!!

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review for an app, and I think it’s well-deserved. The app is super easy to use and has a really pretty but simplistic design. With the pandemic and all, little things like this app have definitely helped with my motivation levels. Thank you to the creator for creating such a wonderful tool !!!
  • Just get it! It’s so great!

Please get this app. It’s the best practicing app I’ve found! I bought the premium cause it was 4$ so why not. And DANGGGG it’s actually perfect. It’s clean easy to use design thats sleek and modern and it’s just so user friendly! I would love it if they built a tuner into the app that way I wouldn’t have to switch apps when I tune my violin but I’m not complaining it’s so great 10/10
  • Amazing App!!

Very well made! I had been searching for an app to help me with my practice. Found other ones not as practical to use or honestly just didn’t have a nice look to them. Andante however is perfect! Very easy to use and I use it everyday. All of my notes are easily accessible and can track my progress over a period of time. Can’t think of anything I would change at the moment.
  • Perfection!!

I wasn’t looking for an app like this, but I’m so glad I found it. It’s easy to use, and so helpful. It has everything in one place, which is so convenient. I honestly believe I practice more nowadays because of it, and after only 3 days, I payed the 3.99 for the premium version, and had all my musician friends download it as well. I highly highly recommend.
  • Fantastic concept that is almost perfect

This app is beautiful and fantastically executed except for one quite large yet small issue... the metronome skips when your phone screen turns off, making it almost unusable. It’s extremely frustrating to practice a tough passage only for the metronome to go out of time randomly during practice. Sometimes it just stops entirely. I’d rather the screen stay on the entire session than have the metronome get out of tempo.
  • Amazing!!

I love this app! Every part of it is so well thought out, and the design is so gorgeous and clean and aesthetically pleasing. This is a great way to keep yourself accountable and track your progress as you practice, I love that there’s even an option to see graphs and input your mood :) i’ve been trying to learn guitar and this will be a great way to stay motivated
  • Amazing!

This is a really great app! Ever since I downloaded it, I have found myself practicing more than usual. It does a great job of motivating you by showing your practice statistics in a clean and effective way. One suggestion would be to maybe add a tuner in addition to the metronome (and maybe add subdivisions to the metronome?). Keep up the great work
