  • Inadequate, Inept, and Poorly Designed

    There are so many inadequacies with this app, that it is impossible to to list every issue, this considering they a legacy maker is being left behind by nearly every other robotic mower company and accompanying app.

    Here is a short list of issues!

    1. Bluetooth only, the app cannot even serve as bridge to WiFi, thus controlling the mower requires Bluetooth at all times!
    2. The app has no feature to connect it to current weather conditions to stop mowing in the event of rain since the robotic mower itself lacks the sensor to detect rain (like nearly every other maker does).
    3. Mowing can only be paused or you are forced to delete scheduled mowing in the event you want to skip mowing for a particular day for any reason!
    4. App cannot pause/restart without physical interaction with the mower, this is an apparent safety feature! User should be able to bypass this if the pause was initiated for reasons other than safety and of course it lacks this simple feature!
    5. The app will not allow users to connect via Bluetooth unless you are physically within a few meters of unit.

    Regrettably, they are well aware of all of these limitations however have refused to make any improvements to the app.

    Hello, thanks for your review. We're sorry you aren't satisfied with the GARDENA Bluetooth app. First, always make sure that app and mower are both updated. Look at the GARDENA website if there's un update for your mower. Bluetooth and smart are different. It's normal that you have to be within 10m from the Bluetooth device with your smartphone to be able to use the Bluetooth app. If you want to control your mower from anywhere in the world, you need a smart mower and the GARDENA smart App and connection to the Internet.   • One small problem

    This app is fantastic. So easy to set up and use. Very intuitive.
    The one problem I have encountered is that when I want to over ride the settings and do a manual watering the time option appears right at the bottom of my Apple 12 screens and it is very difficult to change the time without coming out of the app. If they could re-site this on the screen I’d be very happy

  • Terrible, worse after the app update.

    Please fix up the bug in you app.
    Mower driving past wire distance won’t change.

  • Just not helpful

    There are so many missing functions!

    e. g.:
    No alerts when something fails: One basically needs to look into the app every day. My mower did not run for a couple of days because of an error and I only recognized it because the gras was getting longer.

    No history of activities.

    Very slow.

  • Sileno minimo won’t connect

    Had this thing for years it’s always been a bit temperamental but nothing I couldn’t fix but this time I am pretty much done.
    It will not connect to the app, I mean I have tried everything and trust me I mean everything with no success. What is going on????
    Totally over it I haven’t got time for this I am sure the app is broken.
    Gardena fix this issue please ASAP or reach out with some advice.

  • Ok app

    I am able to connect and manage my gardena robot lawn mower from several feet away. It works as expected. However, the last update broke the lawn coverage settings section. No controls are visible anymore.

  • Great idea, poor implementation

    I have the Water Controller. It was connected to my phone and worked wonderfully for ~1 year. Now the device will no longer connect to the app (despite multiple restarts of the device and factory resets). The app continuously throws either the error that it’s found an unsupported device or the error that the device needs to be restarted. Tried to connect it via different phones (thought maybe that was the issue) and uninstalled and reinstalled the app, nothing works. Unfortunately I can’t recommend the product or the app for these reasons…

    Tried for weeks now but the lawnmower is returning to Costco The App is a joke. It will drive you insane
  • Doesn’t connect

    I like the lawnmower but the app hasn’t worked even once for me. It’s basically like not having an app for it at all.

Maybe the following instructions will help you: delete the app. Don't forget to delete the device in the Bluetooth settings of your smartphone. Install the app again and follow the instructions of the app. Please don't switch on the device before the app tells you to. Look if an update is available on the GARDENA website of your country. First install the update. Sometimes it is enough to switch Bluetooth off and on again and/ or switch your smartphone off and on again or to approach to the device (Bluetooth connection is only available up to 10m from the device). Take also care that all other Bluetooth devices are switched off. Best regards GARDENA Service
  • Nightmare

    Because of Gardenas limited instructions it took me over an hour to connect more than one device to Bluetooth. I think it works now. I removed the first connected mobile out of range, reinstalled the app on the second device (it had created a second separate connection with a different name) and restarted the machine, entering the PIN code on the machine when the app said the connection “failed”. Yge manual is an embarrassment and urgently needs to improve!
