**Women ** Take care

Last night after a 12 hour delayed train journey I booked a cab from Glasgow Central. The first man said he would wait and then didn’t, the second guy said another one would be there in 2 mins, a third one said I was 3rd in the queue and the 4th said there was no queue. Everyone I asked for a rough time as it was 4am, I was ill and it was pouring with rain I got a barrage of abuse. Incredibly rude. Kindness please. **Women** More importantly the man who finally picked me up felt it was ok to make jokes about knowing where I lived, the light on outside being red light distract, to check that my air bnb guest wasn’t ‘entertaining men’ and finally when he asked for my number to send the receipt he made a joke about sending dick pics. I was a woman alone at 4 in the morning and even though I’m sure it was just jokes it’s so tiring as a woman to have to humour these men as an ingrained way of deflection and survival. I will looking for a female led cab company after this experience

The extra money for Uber would have been worth it

I used to use GlasGo, deleted it, and recently redownloaded it again. I remembered why I deleted it. Getting a driver takes ages with GlasGo compared to other comparable taxi companies. Both of my last trips had me waiting more than 10 minutes at off-peak times. I wanted to cancel, but GlasGo charges a £5 fee to cancel any booking, even when the reason for canceling is that you aren’t being assigned a driver. This £5 fee is not determined by the cost, so my cancelation would cost almost as much as the ride itself.

I haven’t had issues with the pre-booking process, when I’ve booked a taxi the day before an early flight. However, if you are looking to book a taxi to pick you up with 10-20 minutes, don’t use GlasGo.

Two bad experiences on the same day. Never again

First manually entered my pick-up address but for some reason cab gets despatched to a different address albeit only 200 yards away. Tried calling the driver no reply. So, I immediately cancel the job. I days later get charged £5 for the pleasure. I then enter the same address again. This time it works but even though the pick-up time displayed is 6 minutes I stand in the street waiting for over 25 minutes. Eventually the driver turns up but tells my suitcase is too big and drives off. Not only a waste of my time but he also puts me down as a ‘no show’ for which I also get charged £5! A £10 charge within 30 minutes and I never got moved an inch. Never again will I use this company!

Difficult to book multiple drop offs.

When using a taxi I usually share with friends and it is very difficult to put in all the drop offs when booking, in fact I’ve not been able to do it then you have to ask the driver to do the drop offs. I’ve left a message to give to driver but that doesn’t seem to work either.
Also the notification disappears so quickly when you get home I wasn’t able to leave a tip for our very good driver. It’s disappointing especially when these things are easily done on Uber.

Treated wrongly

I have a invisible illness and some of these drivers are so cheeky about having to wait for a service they’re getting paid for so contacted Audrey the manager that seems to think I had no right to call about a panic attack to which her driver caused due to social work paying for my trips to nursery with a 21 month old baby. I’m disgusted to be honest and really think people need to do a course on how to work with the public, I’m sure it’s called hospitality! Mental illness and invisible illnesses are a thing and people need to take note! I wouldn’t be getting taxis if I didn’t have hip dislocation. Would hate to think of a elderly person or young person with a illness and that’s the way they’re treated.

Don’t rely on them!

I had a taxi booked a day in advance for a trip to Ireland. My taxi never showed and after numerous phone calls to them it became clear I was going to miss my ferry as they were still trying to allocate a driver.
The call handler was rude and couldn’t care less. I was told booking in advance means nothing and they will only send a taxi when one becomes available. So what is the point of having a pre booking option? I would have thought pre booking means they would allocate your booking to a driver well in advance so as to make sure their was a car in the area. So in their words pre booking is the same gamble as phoning for a taxi just when you need it? Pointless service.
Shocking service and shocking attitudes .
A massive thanks to Glasgow taxis who took my call realised how desperately I needed a taxi and marked me as urgent. A lovely driver got me to the station with 2 mins to spare before my bus left. The call handler went above and beyond unlike GlasGo 👎🏼

Cancelled my cab and hung up on me

Never been treated so disgustingly by a company. I pre booked a cab and 10 minutes before my time it said they were assigning a car. I phoned and was told they only assign cars 10 minutes before the pick up date. I questioned why bother having pre-booking as I need led my cab at this time and I can’t see anything in the area. After some back on forth I had to hang up as my one year old was requiring assistance. I noticed a cab had been booked, dealt with him and came back and it had been cancelled. I immediately booked another and phoned up to ask why my previous one was cancelled. “Because we tried to call and you didn’t answer” was the response I got. I said that doesn’t mean you can cancel my cab, and was to by the rudest woman I have ever spoken to that yes they can. I then said to launch a complaint and she said no, and if you’re gonna complain I’m cancelling this cab too. She then hung up. Avoid this rude, vile company. I will be launching a massive complaint and making sure this gets picked up.

Best in Clydebank (maybe glasgow)

I never ever leave reviews, but the glasgow ans surrounding areas taxi apocalypse thats happened since covid has been brutal for everyone. Even when you do get a taxi after 4 hours they charge you a days wage for a 15/20 minute journey. Since ive downloaded GlasGo cabs gen up been rapid every single time. Drivers been sound every single and and not paid a penny more than what i would say was fair. Also no mad stinking hidden fees like you get on uber. Pay £50 for a 10 minute uber then you wake up with a notification saying you have been charged £10 for the driver having to wait at a red light for more than 25 seconds.

Drivers great, app maps inaccurate.

Simple as that. Drivers always very friendly, cabs spotless, easy to order a taxi.

But the map in the apps is provably inaccurate. Makes pick up/ drop off difficult when the app directs drivers to a street that has a different name and is about half a mile away from my address.

This isn’t supposition, implied, hypothetical. The inaccuracy is proven against every other digital map. And my postal address according to the post office and every other source.

Taxi trip from Easterhouse Rail Station to Gartcosh Station

I was very impressed with my taxi journey this evening. The car turned up within 3 minutes of ordering, and despite telling the driver a different route, on dark unlit roads we arrived safely at our destination and very happy with the experience. I would recommend this company for future trips. Sorin was very pleasant to deal with and respectful to us.
