Game changer

I have CPTSD and much difficulty falling asleep due to trauma and the nightmares and sleep paralysis. I started using this first in conjunction, then rather than the heavy sedatives I was being given every night (frankly they were a safety hazard as I could, and have, stayed asleep on camping trips with bears less than three feet from my head and my family likes to throw block parties, and my sedatives can keep me asleep through the ChaCha Slide, YMCA, and rh Macarena, all turned up to eleven. If there had been a fire, short of being carried out, I would die. But with the hypnotic lights and suggestions, I can take WAAAAAAYYYY less sedatives and can be woken up. And some nights, really good nights? No meds are required, and natural sleep is the best, y’all, I swear. 11/10, 110%, A++, 6/5 stars, and whoever figured this is out deserves the Nobel Prize for Peace and brain chemical manipulation with sound and light. It is a soft dienukb but I’m by and you known

Excellent experience

First time user and a few sessions in, it’s a great app all around. The narration, music and lights as much as the app’s structure and user experience are crafted to an impressive standard. The sensory inputs of each session all come together to enable my mind to just be in silence and peace, simply taking in the experience without any thoughts - it’s soothing bliss for a neurodiverse mind that never goes quiet otherwise! Well recommend.

Very good

I experienced a shift in thinking within a few minutes of being in the session. My thoughts turned to a new and more positive outlook and view. I was able to consider more ideas and options related to the issue I had been dealing with. 10/10

Wish they would allow you to set up 40hz

Super strange that with the research there is around gamma light therapy at 40hz and its benefits for memory etc, this app does not have anything that allows you to dependably try that in a straight forward way. Instead it’s all much more vague with peripheral applications geared towards “meditating” and in this way feels a lot more gimmicky by 1) not addressing this research at all and 2) not allowing the the user to set the effects to these science backed parameters effectively themselves. You only get tailor made options that do not perform at a straight 40hz. Unsure why they would omit a 40hz gamma function if it falls in line and has the same spirit at the other benefits they are trying to claim here. Since I am looking for 40hz specifically, I’m unlikely to continue past the trial unless they add this function which should be super simple and I am hopeful they will address since otherwise I would be happy with the app and its additional functions…as long as it also included a straight 40 hz function. Finding this gamma function on another app has been challenging - this seems like the app and developers who should get it right. Hope they will consider.

Response from developer

Hi there, thanks so much for raising this! We’ve added it to our backlog to gain a deeper understanding of this, and to discuss it with our medical advisory board to ensure we can still ensure safe experiences for our customers at these frequencies. We'd also need to build a proof of concept to see what the theoretical max frequency the average phone can support. We support research across multiple universities and are constantly learning more about the frequencies in which Lumenate operates, and could operate, to bring value to people's lives. Thanks again for raising this, and please do reach us at support@lumenategrowth.com if you have any further thoughts around this ✨

Incredible

I discovered Lumenate entirely by chance, and I am very glad I did even less than a week later. I have taken at least one session each day, but sometimes much more, especially as I am investigating the effects and utility of it. All I can say so far is “wow.” I have had difficulties in my life and my mindset, but I find I can steer the course of things with this app, with what I think will be lasting changes. My particular favourite session is Tension, which has allowed me to confront things and problem solve in a way I hadn’t expected. The customer service team is also very helpful, friendly, and supportive. I would recommend this app, and I have done, to anyone interested in improving their lives or healing.

Illumenate

I love the app.
To meditate.
To get to sleep.
This is Illumenating;)

Takes you on a journey

This is such a unique and clever thing. Calling it an app feels like it minimises the experience a lot. If you really lean into it, it can feel quite transcendental. Relaxing and eye-opening at the same time. Definitely worth a try.

Amazing experience!

Wow… I’m so happy and grateful for I have found this app! It’s very close to psychedelic experience actually and I know I have a very profound and deep healing journey ahead of me. I highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

Best App Ever

I can not recommend this enough. I never leave reviews unless I'm serious. And I've always struggled with meditating. But first try on this app! And I was blown away!!! PURE magic! Thank you ☯️

Party trick

In my experience this is a party trick weaved into an unduly costly subscription app. I know what Lucia Light therapy is. I have tried it at a wellness centre - Float Valley, in Toronto. It’s much more intense with the proper equipment. That said, for iPhone’s ability to somewhat capture the Lucia Light experience, I strongly suggest the free app “Strobe Therapy”. Not going to spend my money on this also I do appreciate the high production values, punny name, and the ability to give people that don’t know about this kind of experience a chance to check it out.
