  • Really enjoying this app

Incredible technology. If you’re close enough to hear the bird clearly, 99% of the time it works perfectly.
  • The perfect bird identifier!

This app is awesome! It detects multiple birds singing at the same time. Incredible!
  • This app is a dream come true!

Recently, I have been very interested in bird calls and was looking for an app that would help me memorize them. I’m only a kid and I love it! It has made birding ten times easier. thank you BirdNET!
  • Observation edit?

Cool app. It would be neat if one could go to their observation page and edit or suggest the proper bird. I recorded a red winged blackbird and it suggested a Baltimore oriole and then a chipping sparrow. Thanks
  • Great app but disappointed it won’t run on iOS 12

Great app but disappointed it won’t run on iOS 12. I have found a few birds it can’t identify. Mostly does really well.
  • Needs features

I’ve been using it for a few days and it seems to work pretty well. I only gave it three stars because it needs some features added. The most important feature would be the ability to submit feedback when it offers more than one possibility, in the likely event that we can identify the bird. The second feature would be the ability to import from our own library. I found that if you are in a remote location with spotty cell coverage the app is useless because it cannot connect to their servers. At the least we should have the option to record and select the part to be analyzed and then the ability to save it to be analyzed later.
  • Best App of Its Kind

I’ve tried numerous bird song identifying apps, but have now deleted them because this app is by far superior. It’s very easy to use and it really narrows down your selections to actual legit possibilities. Awesome app!
  • I’m almost 50 and feel like a kid at Christmas

    This is AMAZING!
  • Great App for birder of 60 plus years!

BirdNet hears birds I no longer can. I can then search for the birds it “hears”. All new exciting way to experience my life long hobby. Thank you.
I have added my MKE 600 Sennheiser mic and headphones to my iPhone XR. Is there a way to monitor what my mic is recording while it is recording using BirdNET? Love to have that capability.
  • Thank you - amazing!

Wow! What a joy this app is. It actually displays the pitches for the bird song tones, and I was able to quickly and easily identify the song of a beautiful new bird in my area. Thank you, Cornell!
