Fantastic, and I hope for more features
This is truly a remarkably great scanning app. Definitely worth the money!
I hope the developer continues to improve the app with more options for automatic file naming and shortcuts to file save locations. For example, if I scan a receipt, I’d love to be able to set a date-first file name before custom text, and have a shortcut to save it in a specific receipt folder. The current automatic naming and save options are fine, they are just slower than they could be with some optimization.Show lesstheAlekW
Underrated app!!!
The algorithm they use to cut out background is impressive, feels like dark magic to me. I use it to do all sort of things, including making a cut out of my hand raising middle finger and send it to my friends. Gotta say I have a lot of fun with this app, also it scans my homeworkJasjflu
I really wanted to give this 4++ stars
It’s really brilliant but there are just a few minor improvements which I’m sure will come in due course. There 2 reasons why I think this is a great app… 1) The app works brilliantly as all the other reviews will tell you and I agree. 2) The upfront honesty and approach to data privacy is so refreshing No data collection No subscription. Most honest and to the point app
I never bother to write a review but this app left me no choice!
What’s amazing with this app is that it does what it claims and no more! And that’s great because it means no data collected, no account required, no subscription needed, and no ads!
I’d like to cordially thank the developer to manage to lunch this app in the in the midst of most materialistic, greedy, noisy and full of junk human lifetime on earth!
All the amazing considerations about app policy aside, the scan quality you get is next level. I have used other subscription-based scan apps before and this one beats them all.

They admit to collecting your data
If you pay five dollars, one of the benefits is that they don’t track and collect your data. So until you pay them they are collecting all your for your data. They also request to get access to all your photos. I think I’ll wait till this is a standard feature on the Apple camera. Holy Privacy breach!Show lessKgersh
Can’t praise this app enough
This has given me a way to photograph my agates and items that I own, quickly and just perfectly. I can think of a few uses for it.

Well colour me impressed (it's a kind of desaturated khaki I believe)
What a terrifically useful idea, this app. I downloaded it when it was featured in an App Store story (I think? I could be wrong - in any case, I only stumbled across it) and had a quick go in a JB Hi Fi (lots of discrete objects - lovely) and was mildly impressed.
Then I forgot all about it until the iOS 15 launch promoted it once more and, having given it a proper going over, I've realised just how much more useful than I thought at first it really is. I can see all these little moments where Scan Thing would be the *perfect* app for the job, if not the only one capable. I love it - and it’s been made so approachable and friendly it’s just rad fun to use it (I keep playing the instructions again every now and then just ‘cause I like the style 🥰)

Great app
I already have a few scanning apps but this is the one I was waiting for. I use it a lot for graphics.
And no subscription needed, that’s what really convinced me to buy it…
