  • Best fitness app on the market

As long as it’s used in conjunction with the Apple Watch worn during sleep, this app takes the information and uses it to plan your workouts, the intensity based on your prior rest the nights/days. It also gives you a pattern and guide on sleep which you learn very quickly the correct rest and excretion required for you. Annoy rave about it more…

  • I ditched all other fitness apps for this

Hands down one of the best fitness apps that I have found, after trying many others. This app takes all your relevant Apple Health data and creates a meaningful and actionable summary overview of your health metric trends with meaningful recommendations. Very well done and just paid for the annual subscription. I now cancelled all others, since this is the one I’m sticking with. Great work!

  • Essential Training Tool!

I have always been interested in getting a Whoop to better understand my training stress and fatigue and guide my recovery, but it just didn’t make financial sense for the up front and monthly costs (especially for someone who had already purchased the Apple Watch).

But with the updates the the Apple Watch and Athlytic, I get all that data for a much more affordable price! I love that it recommends each day’s exertion level based my recovery score, and also makes adjustments to my sleep goal based on how active I was that day.

I’m training for a half marathon after a hiatus is long-distance running, and this has been as useful a tool as my running shoes!

  • Useless recovery/exertion guide

The algo for recovery and exertion are useless. I gave myself 2 very ready heavy recovery days leading up to a difficult hike coming up. On the day of the hike I had a moderate exertion goal. After the hike it showed my exertion as 9.8/10. Exactly as one would expect given the difficulty of the hike. Woke up the next day and the app says I am 100% recovered and should look to do a 9.0-10 exertion effort which is ridiculous. Completely useless algorithm. Spend your money elsewhere. I will close with the statement that I would give it 0 stars if I could and that’s being generous. If you’ve felt that way about other products then you know how I feel and should move on.

  • Is there a way to fix the time lag?

This is a really cool app, but basically unusable for me because there’s usually a 24 hour plus time lag for recovery. In other words, I could have slept well and be totally recovered, but it’s using data from yesterday which tells me I’m not recovered yet. How do I refresh it so I’m getting current data?

Edit: Developer got back to me super quickly. The app works fine; I wear an Oura ring at night and out my apple watch on in the morning, so that’s why my readings were off.

  • 10-Months Review

I downloaded this Apple in January 2022 and since then, I have noticed that the developer is very responsive and continues to make significant updates. Overall, I am very pleased with this app and find the pricing to be very fair. I run 3-10 miles twice a week, plus do OrangeTheory Fitness (HIIT) twice a week. This app helps me focus on days I should push myself and days I should hold back a bit. I use SleepWatch with Apple Health to implement the sleeping stats into this app. [Note: To get sleep data, you must use a third-party app. Athlytic does not collect this data]. A minor issues I have seen a few times is 1) the Apple Watch complications are slow to update. Even opening and closing the app on the Watch doesn’t refresh it; 2) sometimes the Watch app says I need a Pro subscription, even though I do. Often, power cycling the Watch will fix this bug.

  • Good App for Training with some tweaks

So this is a solid app that I hope stays around for a while. I would highly going into the resting hr settings in Apple health to make sure this app gets priority over the default watch writes. It won’t do this when you let the app write the RHR in the app’s settings.

Second, and I really hope the developer sees this, is to allow custom HR zones for specific sports. Coming from Garmin, this is the one feature I really miss as 185 bpm running is very different to 185 bpm rowing.

  • Bye Bye WHOOP

Been a WHOOP subscriber for over 2 and 1/2 years. Was always a fan of their UI and all the analytical data at your fingerprints.

When this app was recommended to me on a MacRumors thread, I had to try it. I’m very impressed. It’s a great App to replace your WHOOP and end the outrageous monthly/yearly subscription price.

This app is like WHOOPS APP baby brother, it definitely needs some polishing with some data added and UI but it frees yours wallet and your arm from the WHOOP Band forever.
Has the sleep, exertion, energy and recovery just like WHOOP!

Also has an Apple Watch complication so you can see your recovery, exertion, blood oxygen, or energy at a glance on your Apple Watch face.

If you’re an athlete or just curious or love to see your HRV and other heart parameters, along with pulmonary and sleep at a glance, this app is a no brainer.

Try it feee for a bit, you’ll be hooked in no time.

And the developers are actively updating this app regularly.

  • Amazing.

I have to say I have used, Garmin whoop, apples watches and everything else I could get my hands on. I loved Garmin but also love the simplicity of an Apple Watch and how it works into my day to day life. This app has connected me to the best of both worlds for Garmin and Apple. On long workout outs or weekends away I tend to use my Garmin watch.

Day to day workouts durning the week I use my Apple Watch. This app syncs both for me. It’s amazing.

I love the layout and simplicity of this app. Man it just brings recovery and exertion to a whole new level. Health and wellness are all about finding a good balance. The best endurance athletes in the world spend 80% of their workouts in lower zones of exertion and this app really helps me see where I am each day with my training. When to push a little more and when to let my body heal. This developer needs to be seen and this app needs the recognition it deserves. App is CONSTANTLY UPDATED. Great, great job guys. Keep up your amazing work.

  • Amazing

I cant work out how to unlock all features on the apple watch ultra.

Otherwise a beautiful app that apple should look at making native for this watch as it is so well done and thought out and executed.

Thanks guys, i never review anything but you truly deserve it on this one. All your hard work has made something so helpful and truly beautiful. Bravo!
