Leave a Review Misfits Market Grocery App
Payment required before I’m able to explore app?!
I saw an ad and went to sign up, got through all the steps, but then it asked for a payment method just to create an account. Like, what!? That’s ridiculous. You expect me to sign up for some automatic weekly grocery service that creates a $50-$60 cart and charges my card weakly before I even get a chance to explore the app, see what you offer, and compare prices to the store or farmers market? I probably would have signed up after checking out the prices if they were as good as you claimed, but not anymore. There’s no way I’m blindly offering to pay for something without knowing the details first. You wouldn’t go into a furniture store and buy a couch just because they say it’s cheaper than other stores—especially without knowing the price upfront—only to find out it’s more expensive and they lied. I’m not doing that. You just lost a customer.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi Bella! Thanks for taking the time to share your review with us. We're so sorry to hear that our sign-up process was a frustrating one. We're happy to shed some light on your concern! We ask customers to create an account with a payment method but they'll be able to browse their inventory and customize their order before getting charged. Customers are alternatively welcome to skip or cancel their orders or subscription if need be--this can be done before any charges. To explain the 'why' behind our subscription model, we want to share that we're sourcing from food-saving partners. This means we finalize your area's inventory as close to your delivery date as possible, keeping all active accounts in mind. This way, we aren't creating additional waste! While we won't be able to predict future inventories, you can always click on the "Grocery Sample" link at the bottom of our site to see a small glimpse into what we may offer. We hope this explanation was helpful and we'd love to continue the conversation should you have additional questions or concerns. Feel free to send us a note via the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of our site. We look forward to hearing from you! Thanks again. Not worth it. False advertising
On Instagram I’d seen so many ads where they say their products are way cheaper than in store because it’s imperfect food that the grocery store would deny. Well after they force you to make an account and upload your payment info you have to wait until your window opens up to shop. So I spent 10 minutes signing up hoping to be able to see the prices of products just to find out I’d have to wait until my shopping window opens. Once I was finally able to shop I checked out the prices of almost everything they pre-added to my cart and a few basics like milk and eggs. Everything is 2X more expensive than it is at the store. If you are downloading this hoping it’ll be cheaper save your time and money because not a single thing is cheaper. Just go to Aldi and you can find the same stuff for half the price.Show lessDeveloper Response

Tried this company before and it was a mess then and a mess now. They’re on social media sending their influencers these pristine boxes only for a regular person to receive nonsense. The boxes were a mess, to the point where our poor FedEx driver had to delicately lift because they were afraid of the boxes falling apart. Then I open them and all the dry items were wet, nearly messing up the product and thankfully I salvaged them but had to pull them out of their containers. Then I’m missing items and now have to go back to the store and spend extra money, because it’s going to take 5 business days to receive my refund, and they replaced them with crap I didn’t even order! FYI, this was my 1st order coming back. You should refund me my whole order, this was a terrible experience. You’re asked to pay $10 additional in shipping and this is what happens. Cancelled my account immediately after.
Updated: ordered 2 oat milks, I know I paid over $5 for each and when I received an email, they refunded me $6 for both. There was no contact back for my experience, I’m assuming because they know I’m very upset.Show lessDeveloper Response
