Very helpful
Deciding to take an offer from my job for a full time position while also earning my Master’s degree, and being the only person who cooks in my house during the week was probably crazy, but EveryPlate has made it easier. I had to make this little gift to myself to get through it. Just getting the meal kits and refraining from extra trips to the store I am able to save money and cut down on food waste. It has saved me a lot of time and stress. The downside for me is that there are not always many vegetarian options, and some of the ones I just don’t like so I’ll end up getting a recipe with meat and substituting it myself. The plastic waste makes me sad, but it is probably not that much of an issue. I also find it confusing sometimes when the pre-packaged amounts are not labeled by standard cooking amounts, so I would find it helpful to have the measurements adjusted to either always fit with cups/tsp or always half a packet/two of the limes kind of thing. I do also find that I use more pans, cooking sheets, and cooking materials when making these, so sometimes I feel frustrated with the amount of clean up, but I am able to adjust that myself some of the time. I also think the flavor profile can be a little bland for many people, but that is also adjustable on a case by case basis. I love Every Plate!
I was hesitant to try anyway other than my local grocery for meal planning, but this has gone well beyond my expectations!! The food is fresh, plentiful and tastes better than most food at an expensive restaurant. I have also saved around $2000 in the last nine weeks that I have been using Every Plate on eating out and wasteful grocery trips. All I do now is pick up milk, bread and a few staples and the rest is in my box every week. I also have enough leftovers to eat them for lunch at work the next day! It takes a little adjusting to use all the food in your box each week, but I developed a box rotation with a spice box, potato and onion box and other non-refrigeration item box for the things I didn’t use Monday through Friday and then use those left over for the weekend meals. You can skip a week if you have to, but it is working out so far. Love it! Tenth week comes Monday! I have also lost twelve pounds and didn’t even know it! Very healthy meals!!Show lessStephdixon1969
Superb quality and easy delivery
We have been truly surprised by the high quality and excellent meals Every Plate offers. Although we’ve not changed any menu options due to illness, we’ve been thrilled with all the preplanned selections sent. Everything has been high quality and very fresh with super easy to follow directions. Our fifteen year old enjoyed preparing one of the meals which was one of her favorite things she said she’s ever eaten-she’s a bit picky so that’s high praise. We are doing the five meals a week which averages around $73 per week Not expensive at all given you get all you need for two ppl It’s actually an excellent value especially for the quality fun recipes you are given to cook. The options for changing or adding proteins etc to each box is so easy to do via the app. We’ve just not been in need to change anything yet. Every Plate has something for everyone with the variety they offer each week. It is so easy to skip a week as we’ve had to do this week due to traveling.
