  • Don’t migrate! There is something odd going on

    I migrated to the new app. Before this my bell was sending me notifications. Now I get nothing! I come and go and there is absolutely no motion ever detected since the migration. You have to ring the bell and even then the video may not be available. I feel like this is like what apple used to do… slow down older devices to force you to buy their newer products. How else can you explain it?

  • Best video doorbell on the market

    I have owned the-original SkyBell and now have the new trim HD and it’s even better, great image and the color night vision is fantastic! The original doorbell with an on demand viewing option, all others copied SkyBell. Buy one you won’t be disappointed!

  • The worst !! Do not buy!!!

    This app doesn’t work. After migrating from old app SkybellHD my bell doesn’t work and we can not reconnect. Customer service is useless.
  • Good in concept bad and experience

    I have two of the cameras that I’ve had for about three years on my house. I can only use one camera because the other one has a conflict with the first one. Secondly, this app is useless because at one time it was working fine and then they started changing things never really been getting proper support. I might get the odd support email say do this or do that but at the end of the day there’s no follow up, I just find it extremely frustrating that I’ve got all this money spent and can’t utilize what I have from SkyBell. Maybe I should just break down and go to the side and one of those ones that makes.

  • The new app is junk

    The new app is junk. Videos don’t appear. Events are listed by date but when you select the date to see the events nothing happens. Most the time when trying to watch live, it’s a black screen. When doorbell is rung, there is no sound. Absolute junk. The old app worked perfectly. How am I supposed to make use of my SkyBell when the app doesn’t work now. Now that I converted over I can’t use the old app. Thanks for nothing. Fix it.

  • Many issues with upgrade.

    New app has many issues. The doorbell does not pick up motion detection until someone is actually at the door. I have tried basic and advanced settings but no luck so far. The app takes a while to load when someone rings the door bell, I can hear the person fine but they cannot hear me (conversation keeps cutting out and not loud enough). Tried customer service but resolution yet (removed device from door to reboot hardware, deleted software and reinstalled and tried various options in settings). Older version worked better.

  • Failed at critical moment

    Burglar attempted to break into garage, the recording appeared in the app as unavailable. The camera recorded the police perfectly fine later on though, when the criminal had already left. My camera from another company captured him from the front successfully, so I had a photo to share. I contacted Skybell to try to recover even a partial video and they were unable to even provide me the still image that I can see in the app, but cannot even save.

  • New App not working

    My camera was working fine until I decided to update to the new app.
    Big mistake. My camera hasn’t worked since. Spent a lot of time with support. They finally said it’s probably a hardware problem and I have to replace the camera. Funny that there was no hardware problem prior to the update. Now it just blinks red and green.

  • What happened

    Used for a few years and was happy with product. They said to upgrade to new app and nothing worked after that. Wife could no longer connect no matter how many times I invited her. Always an error. Half the motion recordings won’t play for some reason. No reply from customer service. Just bought a competitor and installing tomorrow.

    This is one of those purchases that you wish you had made 20 years ago as we love it and the clarity is amazing. Don’t need an alarm company is the part we enjoy. Get one folks you won’t be disappointed. 100% recommend this.
