Completed Bloodwork Posting Delays in MyChart Causing Unnecessary Problems

Twice I have made and shown up for appointments for lab work “requests” that appear in my chart only to find out that they weren’t new requests but completed ones that were never updated as completed. Even after calling the service to try and confirm if this was a current request, subsequently making an appointment, did I not find out until going in person that it wasn’t necessary. Once again I wasted a part of a day. In house lab work should be posted as completed in a patients portal immediately and clearly indicated as such! If a patient is expected to use the portal it should be accurate! All parties, including the patient, staff, scheduling service shouldn’t have to dig for information to determine if labs have been completed. Fix it.

Highly recommend!

As a patient receiving care at the Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center, I have found the MyMountSinai app to be instrumental in supporting my mental health journey. The app allows me to view my scheduled appointments, schedule and manage appointments, access my medical records, and lab and test results, and send a message to my physicians. This comprehensive tool has significantly helped me stay consistent with attending my meetings with my physicians and bolster my confidence in managing my mental health and well-being.

Medicaid Clinics

The care received seems shallow, carefree, not so much interest as to the root cause of my illness. This has been my experience with both clinics, urology and neurology.
This is however, consistent to the health care given for a Medicaid client. If it’s free care, then it’s mediocre care. What these doctors and the higher ups purposely ignore, is that Medicaid clients are their guinea pigs for their resident’s practice, so a good caring effort should be part of their training.
Not at all what I expected having heard M.Sini reputation.
My failure was not researching these MEDICAID clinics’ reviews,?I just read the reviews for Mount Sini in general. Medicaid clinics pharmacy proscriptions take about three to four Weeks
(that’s a month!) to be filled, because of prior authorization and, “My Chart” is a joke, Dr.’s don’t respond, but it does appear professional! Appears!

Did they design this app to be this confusing on purpose?

I ask because you have to work at it to design an app this badly. It provides me with all kinds of irrelevant information, such as whether I’ve had a hepatitis C screening (I don’t have any of the risk factors.). It doesn’t come close to telling me what I really want to know, which is a list of the procedures that I have undergone, what the billing status is, what the charges are or will be, and which ones that I have paid. No matter how carefully I look I can’t find this information anywhere! The result is that every now and again I receive a message that says “new Bill”. They want some random amount of money, and I have no idea what I am paying for. At least as bad is the confusing economy between billing for individual doctors and billing for the hospital. Why it is that they can’t combine everything into one central billing platform is beyond me.

I have a PhD in math and years of experience working and designing computer systems, so if it confuses me, God only knows what happens to the poor average user!

Not tech savvy but not scary to use

I guess it’s a little crazy and scary to think how far technology has advanced but to be made this simple to use is a little relieving. When I was released from the hospital I was given a million test results on the app and I thought the idea to just go through the results and not know what to look for, what’s good or bad would be very overwhelming but!! The app makes it easy to read and even find result and! You can share them with all your doctors so it’s kind of nice.

Dr Cohen Rheumatology

Excellent Dr. Very thorough , extremely knowledgeable, and eager to help make you feel better. These are things that are becoming so rare in medicine and good drs are hard to come by. I couldn’t say a single negative thing about the staff or Dr Cohen. The nurses are amazingly sweet and personable. Reception does everything they can for you. Just an all around fabulous experience at a drs office and I can’t say that for any other office I’ve been in and I’ve been in a whole lot!!! If you’re having a hard time finding a rheumatologist that you can trust you’re journey will, without a doubt, end here. I’ve been seeing him since 2018 and every visit has been equally pleasant

Dr. Gerdis

My dearest Dr. Gerdis, I want you to know that I am so great full to have met you & that you are my primary care Dr. I call Dr Gerdis my miracle Dr. I had a horrific ! Case of “Gerd” for SO many years. He gave me a pill and instantly NO more gerd . I live a free gerd free life thanks to Dr’s miracle pill. If zi call he surely answers all my callas. When I go to him at his office I am received with joy. He cares about my concerns. When I go for a phisycal the following day he calls me ! to give me the results & answers my questions. He delivers my prescriptions immediately. Just pre approved a med that I had paid $120 & yesterday I picked it up for $4.00 Amen. May God keep him safe. We need him & appreciate all he does. Mt. Sinai Hosp & Physicians

I have been in the hospitals and my physicals care for over 20 years. There has always been a level of care and professionalism unmatched by anywhere or anyplace else.

For instance my Primary care Doctor has been with me 18 years now. I wouldn’t change him for the world. I am extremely pleased with all facets of care and interactions I’ve had through all these years. 2 decades worth of care and interactions, speak for themselves.

Amazing staff and care. They should be the blueprint of how to treat patients. Outstanding !

A great tool

On the whole I think the app can do a great job of making my medical records clear and available to those who need them . Unfortunately there are errors that I’m reluctant to try to fix. Wrong procedure, dates, etc.
The best part is being able to reach my doctors with a note asking for information and getting a, generally, timely response.
Trying to coordinate information from various sources in different cities and states is proving somewhat difficult.
On the whole I recommend the product very highly.

Was good… now it’s crossing lines with privacy

Starting today, the app won’t let me add appointments to my calendar unless I allow it full access to read my personal calendar! Add only no longer works. I hope they fix it because I can no longer quickly add appointments unless I use the website or add the times manually. Why would it need to read my entire personal calendar? Perhaps they should fix it like the airlines do… access to only the events they created so they can update times/details or add only. Full access seems like either lazy programming or something more suspicious.

This is not because of my use of the app, as I’ve contacted support and was informed how it was an update to the software. They could not figure out how it would work on IOS unless privacy settings were reduced.
