Amazing!!
I’ve never reviewed an app before, but this one earned it.
I heard about this app on my favourite podcast, Tape Notes, and figured it was worth a try. Without having too much expectation that this app would break me out of my reliance on Voice Memos I downloaded it and I am absolutely blown away. The features are incredible! All of a sudden I have everything organized and even have notes, images, and section markers to go along with my audio clips.
Unbelievable app, truly is going to be a game changer. I absolutely love the note section as well, but my one suggestion would be to include a “lyric section”. I’ve been writing my lyrics in the notes, but it would be awesome to use the notes for chords, further ideas, musings, etc. and have a dedicated spot to put lyrics as well. But that’s a very minor thing (they’ve already replaced my voice memos app and I’m just gunning for my notes app to go next 😅), what this app is already doing is unreal. And I only have the free version.

Thank you Michael, really glad you like it! We‘ve been thinking a lot about the lyrics section and we have a few ideas that could make it even more useful than just a separate text field. It’s a tricky design problem that opens up a range of new design questions once you start thinking about it, so it’ll take us some time before we ship an update for it. Fantastic Tool for Songwriters
The developer rolls out a steady, paced set of emails to you outlining all the functions of the app (including some less obvious stuff) which I’ve found to be really handy. You can tell the team who work on this care a lot about creating a genuinely valuable tool for their peers in the greater music community : )

Hi John, glad you gave the free tier a try. :) If you’re a student, we also offer a half price student discount. Many music schools in the US have a direct partnership programme with us. Or you just mail me with any proof of enrolment (any school qualifies, doesn’t have to be a music school).

I’m a musician so looking forward to using this to capture ideas quickly - and the fact I can add a widget to my Lock Screen for instant access is fantastically useful.
Using an iPhone 14, the stereo recordings have real body as well as clarity. Nice work.
