I’ve seen what it can do but can’t use it myself
This app is incredible in terms of getting beautiful pictures that one would never expect to be able to get from a phone camera. Unfortunately, I’m unable to use the app myself due to having an old phone (iphone 8s). Whenever I get down to 30 seconds on the configuration, the app crashes, and in general the app is a massive drain on my phone’s battery. I’m really sad I can’t use it myself but this is a great app.

Great potential but issues with iPhone X and 14.
The app crashes on iPhone 14 when you select from any overlay. On the iPhone X, the overlay button interferences with other text. With both iPhones the sky image is saved in Photos App, but only straight line constellation outline can be made and saved in Photos App. It is unfortunate to have issues between iPhone models, because it has a lot of potential for education.

iOS 16 iPhone 14 Pro Max incompatibility
Please fix crashes on sliding filters and DSO adjustments and labels. World class app made a little less special :(
Maybe good for older iPhones?
While I am really intrigued with the overlay features, the overall results simply cannot compare with the native iPhone 12 or 13 photos taken in Night mode. In this mode, a 30 second exposure produces greater star and Milky Way definition and brightness. I wish there was a way to use the overlays with the images captured with the native iPhone Night mode.

Superbe app
Loving It and Love Learning what it can do
Nocturne allows me to go out and enjoy the hidden bits of the night sky, without my telescope, big tripods, batteries, etc… I have a simple and light weight tripod that is tall (easier for me to setup since I am tall). Yes, I have gone thru the learning curve, like with anything, and now enjoy the captures. Just last night, a great capture of the milky way thru haze covered skies. Loved find that the Pleiades had risen but I could not see them with the naked eyes. The app is NOT a telescope. It is software that allows the phone in your pocket to grab some moments at night. I find I have been introducing friends to it and seeing the joy in their eyes as they capture ANYTHING. Thank you Unistellar/Nocturne for creating this. Far better than many other apps that claim the same features.

Will app work in locations with no internet
The app takes amazing photos. Nothing better for iPhone astrophotography. I understand that the app requires an internet connection. Many places with dark skies do not have connectivity. Will the app work? Will the overlays work? Thanks for your clarification
Response from developer
Hi there, the Internet is not required to use the App. Be well!

I'm going to start enjoying this App a lot. It's simply great.

Thank you so much for your review!
What is this?
I’m not happy with this app. You take a picture and get layers in the pictures then?
People… just use Starwalk and or other great apps who do the same. This app won’t work without giving access to camera, photos and I’m forced to have your notifications on. I don’t want that.

Notifications?
Nope. I absolute do not need your app telling me about “observation activities” or anything else. Deleted.
