Great app
I love the app but I’m a little upset it doesn’t capture full resolution and adds your watermark to the photoDeveloper Response
Thank you for your feedback ! Nocturne is a free app hence the watermark.Must have Notifications or Can’t Isr
1 star because it forces you to have notifications on in order to use. No thanks.Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback ! Note that they we use notifications with parsimony and you will not be be overwhelmed;Full permissions for app to work
You need to give permissions for notifications and access to gallery for the app to even start. I never turn on app notifications unless it’s critical like with a messaging app. If not then it’s just spam.Developer Response
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, I will make sure it is forwarded to our developers !Great App
Very simple to use but very effective photos. Excellent. Question, what is the 1x and 2 that appears at the bottom of the screen?Developer Response
Thanks for the great review ! :) some iphones have different sensors, the iOS and Google photo app does the same thing.Very well designed
As an amateur astrophotographer, I found this app super useful for my mobile setup.
If you are looking for capturing stars, or milkyway, I think this is what you are looking for. You dont need to focus, it does all the stack you would do.
I think the only downside is it doesn't produces RAW photos. Hence, the photos you took are too much modifies and a 4 min Nocturne shot vs stacking 8 x 30 secs RAW Night Mode shots with stock camera differs a lot!
On the other hand, the amount of light I can capture with Night Mode (30secs) are slightly better compared with this app. Maybe its exposing too short ?
Overall, well done devs, great iob.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thank you for your great and constructive feedback. Happy Holidays ! :)So far it’s been glitches one after another
I downloaded it to iPhone 13 Pro max, worked for one picture. Then the picture would not leave the screen. Deleted the app reinstalled. Took one picture then the app would not work again it stated on the screen it was calculating time never went into photo mode deleted again.Developer Response

App simulates the iPad camera with smaller viewport and less controls, title at top reads Camera Configuration and nothing happens. Useless app and waste of my time.
EDIT: Received a response to my review from Devs stating the app is for iPhones only (not iPads). I’m not sure whether or not Apple’s App Store allows Developers to categorize their apps as iPhone-only but if that is true then there’s no excuse. If it’s not true then fair enough.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi Sammy, Nocturne is meant to be used with iPhones (photosensors are better on iPhones). I invite you to give the App another chance and try it out with an iPhone ;)Works really well
You can capture some nice shots of the sky with this app without a telescope.
I love how it keeps the colours of stars unlike the native camera app that makes them always white.
One thing though, is it sometimes doesn’t focus properly. So stars look blurry, iPhone 11 Pro Max on IOS15.1.
Manual focus would be handy or the option to dial in the focus manually. (1 to 12 for example)
Also like another reviewer, sometimes after taking a capture it will save, but when you hit the (X) to close the current image it will stay on the screen and you need to force close the app to fix it.
Bar the 2 niggles it’s a really good app.Show lessDeveloper Response

Just shot a number of shots in fairly dark sky’s of New Mexico.
Several shots were very good, but many were poor to mediocre.
The shots aimed towards some distant city lights faired better than those aimed at darker (higher) sky. iPhone 13pro was used. Milky Way shots were not good, unless the city pollution was visible at the edge of the frame. Very odd. Any suggestions?
Note, I would gladly pay for this product if it was consistent.Show lessDeveloper Response

The title says it all...3 minutes of capture time. Can be handheld, i wish it had more options and raw format support but the current output is still nothing more than amazing, beyond any other astro photo app for the apple products.Developer Response
We are thrilled you love it ! Thanks a lot for your feedback.
