They’ve done their homework!
There’s so much I could say, about our stay through Wander, but it would be very time consuming.
My oldest son, and daughter in law, found the website, and home, for our Thanksgiving getaway with other siblings, and children.
It was probably the nicest home, my wife and I have had the pleasure of renting! The attention to detail was amazing. Everything you could think of, to make your stay a pleasurable one, was there, at your fingertips. The location, Kure Beach was a first, but not a last. The location on the beach, and access to grocery stores, restaurants, and entertainment was spot on!!
The house was immaculately cared for, with bedding and linen to die for……so comfortable. The robes were an item, everyone walked around in, during the time, while we were indoors.
Thank you Wander, you made my bucket list item (getting all my kids and grandkids together, at the same time, under one roof, for Thanksgiving) a very enjoyable, and unforgettable stay, and experience.

Wander Properties
We love staying at Wander properties. Whenever we can we use them, it’s like Airbnb but you know you’re getting a quality house with quality everything inside vs the usual hit or miss. They are also all gorgeous. We stayed in several places on west coast and once east coast and all have been as lovely. We highly recommend it! We were doubtful initially given the business model but decided to become “founders” and always use them whenever we can! Prices are very reasonable for the properties and the size and amenities you get.

Bye bye Airbnb
We loved our first stay with Wander as a family of 4. The house was immaculate and perfectly suited to our needs - from a young 2 yr-old to our 10-yr-old daughter and myself and husband! The customer service/concierge was super responsive and helpful. We had actually booked a lodge in Montana that I thought looked great on their website and pics but turned out to be quite dated and uncomfortable ... so we pivoted and booked a Wander for a last minute stay. We were absolutely delighted and are looking forward to our next booking. I had almost given up on anything other than hotel stays given listings on Airbnb and VRBO can be deceiving with pics and dishonest reviews, but I'm back to home rentals with Wander. What a difference!

Wish I would’ve found Wander sooner
I booked Wander Orford Cliffs through Airbnb, had I known better I would’ve booked directly through the Wander app. The property itself was breathtaking, the listing pics are not enhanced, it was that incredible. You have the entire house along with a top notch concierge service and hotel amenities (robes, slippers, well stocked nespresso), without out a long to-do list at check out like traditional airbnb/vrbo’s. Not to mention all the tech. You could operate most of the house from the iPad on the kitchen island. Wander is now my go-to for vacation rentals, I’ve told all my family and friends to download the app and start planning. The app itself is fantastic, and they keep adding features (like make us an offer for certain properties/dates). The pricing is very clear with no hidden fees. Initial frustration but resolved adequately
I had a frustrating experience with Wander when they canceled my reservation 6 weeks before my trip, only to relist the same home 2 weeks later at an increased rate. Initially, they only offered a refund, which felt inadequate given how hard it was to rebook for a large group.
However, Karlene (COO), stepped in and resolved the situation. She was professional and made sure we were taken care of.
While my initial experience was frustrating, I appreciate her commitment to making things right and I am excited for my stay.

Amazing Properties
One of the best experiences we've had!
Extremely Deceptive and Unprofessional - Stay Away
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Wander. They market themselves as combining the amenities of a luxury hotel with the privacy of a vacation rental, but they completely failed to live up to that promise. I booked a home for a family trip through Wander, only to have them cancel my reservation 6 weeks before my vacation, claiming the homeowner "pulled the home from the platform." At first, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but just 2 weeks later I noticed that the same home was back on their platform—now at 3.5x the price I originally paid. This feels like a blatant bait-and-switch tactic and is both deceptive and unprofessional. Their only response was to offer a full refund, as if that were some sort of resolution. It's a legal obligation, not a solution. They also claimed that 6 weeks is "ample time" to find another property. As someone planning a trip for a large group, this was far from enough. By the time they notified me, other homes were already booked up, and I was left scrambling. The opportunity cost of having to rebook last-minute was significant, and the stress it caused was completely unnecessary. If you’re looking for a reliable and professional service, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Wander's lack of transparency and customer care is alarming, especially considering how much they charge. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs.

Negative reviews aren’t in the app
Stayed at Wander Big Sky Basin and the house (while beautiful) wasn’t ready for several hours, wasn’t marked with Wander signage, and was lacking basics like dishtowels and advertised amenities like a desk mic. Odd layout too, no closet space in any bedrooms except the bunk bedrms, SONOS and peloton weren’t activated, door entry didn’t match instructions and I had to wait for them to be sent to me. Also, the property was the last house at the end of a desolate construction street littered with candy wrappers and food garbage from workers, and was pitch black at night. Kind of a big fail all around, BUT I did get credits to stay in another property so we’ll see I guess? I think the experience greatly varies by whoever the local managers are 🤷🏻♀️

Finally booked with wander
Finally we booked a mini getaway and I’m super excited. Wanders properties are absolutely stunning with that being said our trip isn’t until June so I will definitely write a follow up but as of now my experience has been awesome, the Wander team concierge are incredible. They are so helpful. Everyone has been so patient with all my questions . sending me links to grocery grocery stores, sending me links to private chefs, sending me links to the restaurants in the area. So far it’s 5 star experience.. thank you team wander … can’t wait for our getaway .. stay tuned. Catrina
Update. We finally got the chance to stay at this incredibly beautiful home this home is awesome. There are views from every room. It was absolutely breathtaking. The house was amazing. Wander does not skip a beat. The view of the ocean was stunning and to wake up every morning and go to bed every night looking at that beautiful view. We had a masseuse come in and give us massages on the deck overlooking the ocean simply fantastic. We will definitely make this a yearly trip for us. Thank you wander will be back.

Unforgettable Experience
Amazing experience. The homes are straight out of AD or something. Thats how amazing they are. The homes are stocked with everything you need. The extremely responsive concierge team and the ease of the app makes this a one of a kind experience. The ability to maximize work and travel all at once was really game changing. Overall, I’ve never had to think this little during a trip. Will be using their services moving forward.
