Worth every penny
These tours are so incredibly well done. It is even sent A LOT of time went into creating these, and it is greatly appreciated. We did Shaka guide in Maui for the road to Hana which was essential. You get no cell reception, but since Shaka Guide works off GPS we were never lost! We then listened to all 4 Kauai tours during our week there. Because of this app we went to a beach no one else had mentioned for excellent snorkeling, and we ended up swimming around the most amazing reef with multiple turtles. The stories he tells you about Hawaiian history are great, too, they give you such an appreciation for the place you are. Really just an absolutely stellar job on this app. I joked to my husband that all future vacations should be planned around where Shaka Guide has tours.

Oahu Six tour guide
We purchased this six tour guide before coming to Oahu and can honestly say that we found them all very helpful and saw pretty much every corner of Oahu with these self guided tours. We love using these self guided tours and have used others before. As these are GPS guided tours you cover the islands at your own pace, never feel worried about getting lost and get to see everything that a tour guide will cover in your own vehicle! Shaka tours covers a lot of the history and geography in narrative form while you drive and that is also so useful! Great job done by Shaka tours and we highly recommend using their tours!

A gem!
I bought this on our second day in Kauai, and my only regret is that I didn’t buy it on our first day! Shake Guide made our experience in Hawaii a rich one with so many beautiful, interesting, unique, and iconic sights and excursions. We learned a great deal about the modern and historical Hawaii, visited little known spots and hot tourist areas, and ate delicious meals and snacks thanks to Shaka Guide’s suggestions. All three of our children (ages 15, 11, and 9) enjoyed the guide and asked us to turn it on every time we were in the vehicle, even if we weren’t following the tour route. The music between points and stories was an unexpected bonus. The narrator’s Hawaiian humor was entertaining but didn’t steal the show from Kauai itself. Get the app. It’s more than worth it!!!

Worth it!
Highly recommend this app. We used it to get to know Kauai and it was great. Lots of interesting and unique stories and sites to visit along the various routes. We learned a lot while enjoying some beautiful landscapes and ocean views. One bit of advice- if you are renting a car to get around using this app, maybe upgrade to something with a little better suspension like a Jeep or small SUV. A couple of the side tours took us down unimproved dirt roads. You don’t need 4 wheel, but a few of the roads were pretty rough in a typical sedan.

A must-have for The Road to Hana
This app really put the icing on the cake to complete an amazing drive! It had fun stories, facts about Hawaiian history, and very nice Hawaiian music sprinkled in between the directions for each stop on the way. The app works on GPS so it was the perfect entertainment for our entire drive when there was zero radio or cell service available. We laughed and learned a lot along the way, I would highly recommend doing the drive with this app. Otherwise you’re truly missing out on the entire experience!

Great guide!
We downloaded this based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint! The places recommended to stop were amazing! We didn’t feel like we missed out on anything. The guide did an excellent job of checking in with you based off time and providing recommendations on things to skip based off the time and what you wanted to do. My husband and I also loved hearing about the history and looked forward to this facts throughout the journey. The before you go section was also very good and reading that prior to our trip made sure I packed what was necessary!! Absolutely recommend downloading!!

A Must for Maui
We used the Shaka guide for our road to Hana trip in Maui and it was 100% worth it. The guide let us know what stops were worth stoping at and which stops probably wouldn’t be worth the hassle to get out of the car… which is BIG for that crazy busy road. Along with assisting on stops, the Shaka guide told stories and facts about the area. The information was very interesting and a fun addition to getting to know Maui more. They also played some Hawaiian music during some “down time” on the road. All together the guide was totally worth it and I will be using the Shaka guide again in the future for other trips 🤙🏻

Hawaii Big Island Tours
First time using this kind of app for touring. Absolutely love it, I’m hooked. Wish I knew about this app when touring Utah. Only complaint is after doing four of the tour routes on the Big Island, First Day loved the Hawaii music, 2nd Day liked it, after 4 days island music can get monotonous. Need a way to turn off music between information or stories. Great deal on the bundle, worth every penny at the right price. Will recommend to all my friends or anyone that will listen.

Big Island Bundle Amazing!
I recently went to Hawaii - the big island. I bought the big island bundle from Shaka guide and loved it! At times I had no cell service but Shaka knew exactly where I was even if I had stopped somewhere and was able to continue guiding me on the tour. I was impressed. Without Shaka guide I would have gotten lost. I was able to pack so many adventures in due to the guides and the cultural information the guide gives along the way is interesting and entertaining! Highly recommend!

Don’t Think Twice! Get it.
The night we arrived in Kona from Georgia, a lady in the hot tub mentioned the Shaka Guide app in a way that I should have known what it was and should have already had it. She gave us a rundown of all of the places she had visited with her family during her ten day stay on the island. I did my research on it when I got settled in our room for the night and I can easily say it was the best decision made during our vacation. We used the app and did all of the available tours for Kona, even combining a couple. We saw and learned so much during our ten day stay and it made for an epic trip. Our dive friends who joined us were jealous of our adventures and finally downloaded it as well after a day or two and tried and catch up to our progress. Ha! THANK YOU Shaka Guide!
