  • Cost vs Reward

    Here is a truth about hunting, especially something like Elk. Spending a bunch of money on Gucci gear to look good on the IG, won’t help you find animals. It might make you more comfortable, but let’s be honest, a lot of us including myself need a little discomfort in our lives. I know this because my wife was making fun of me for getting a little….soft. She loves me still, I’m pretty sure. Anyways, spending money on stuff doesn’t do much to help. However, something that you can spend money on that WILL help find animals, is your health and fitness. Easiest way to find animals, is to go to where the animals are. Thank you MTNTOUGH for helping me fill my tag this year.

    This program is one of the best I have come across. I have noticed significant gains in endurance and overall strength due to this program and can’t recommend it enough to people. Extremely user friendly and easy to scale programs. Also extremely easy to substitute certain workouts in and out due to equipment restrictions. The rehab and injury program also helped me get over a back injury in a very short period of time and the mobility program is great. Also has great information videos and interviews to watch while on longer car rides. This program has really helped me get ready for the Fire Academy and I have tried numerous different programs.

    Mtn Tough was recommended to me by a friend of mine who understands what it takes to hunt up here in Alaska and who also is a leader in the backcountry hunting industry. Dustin and the crew have hit the nail on the head with this program. Super easy to use and follow along with. It’s no joke but push through and do your best the results are worth it. Noticed a big difference this year hauling black bears off the mountain this spring and back packs full of salmon back to the boat. Tasks that used to take a lot of work seem much easier and sometimes effortless! Which has fueled the fire to continue putting in the work. Can’t wait for hunting season this fall. T-minus 4 weeks and it kicks off with sheep season. Excited to see the difference this year in the mountains. Wishing everyone luck and may you come out with heavy packs.
  • MTNTOUGH will change your life!

    While recovering from a disabling helicopter crash that ended my 15 year Navy career, I had a hard time finding something to keep me motivated- I was constantly plagued by injuries. I didn’t know what I was doing in the gym anymore. Following along with MTNTOUGH, they built me up from the ground level, making me functional again. The program rebuilt my body and allowed me to do things doctors said I would never be able to do again, like carry a pack with weight, and hold my toddler. Amazing program. I feel reborn. Such a great group, constantly innovating and pushing the limits. Have been a member since 2019 and probably will be for life. Don’t mess around, get in on this community and start rebuilding yourself anew!

    I’m 54 years old. I’m a Gulf War vet & the father to 10 & 12 year old daughters. I’m also husband to one of the best women on the planet. I also own 4 businesses & am blessed with many great employees. I absolutely feel like I have many reasons to live as long as I can!
    I have been to many gyms & tried many workout programs. All were mediocre until I found MTNTOUGH. The program and the App are incredible! No matter where I am I have it in my hands. When I’m hiking or on a run I listen to a podcast. When I’m at work I do the 5 min mobility. At 5:00am I am in the gym going thru my workout on the App. It has everything & I love it!

  • Perfect for anyone venturing to the mountains

    The app is easy to use and navigate through the workout plans. Having the comments section for community is a great way to engage with others and see how others are doing with similar programs. We’re all working/pushing/suffering together in these programs so even if your working out in your garage you still have some community. Programs are awesome great functional moves! Started the Foundation program after straining my hamstring and after two weeks of the program and the mobility work my hamstring is back to 95% and I’m feeling stronger and more energetic. Looking forward to starting the post season strength in November!
  • This app keeps you dedicated, gets you ready, and keeps you ready

    If you struggle, like me, with boredom from using the same ol routine to get fit, then this is the app you need!! They keep you engaged with ever changing programs. They progressively push you to get better and better. They have challenges that test/build your grit as well as make you feel like part of their community. They know you are human and provide you with well placed mobility workouts that allow your body to recharge and regenerate. They keep you motivated even in the “off season” with programs geared towards building your body up so that you are that much better come next season. Get the MTNTOUGH app!!!
  • Success on the mountain starts here in the off season

    This app is a great foundational approach to get you in shape for the backcountry. The movements are simple and effective. The workouts are for anyone with a full gym at their disposal or just a backpack. They cover everything from warmup to cooldown and have video examples. I’ve spent a lot of time doing CrossFit and filling online programming where it’s tough to google the exact movement prescribed. That’s not the case here. I also love that it’s pure fitness, no wasting time trying to learn how to handstand walk and feeling inadequate by scaling that out of a workout. If you are just starting out, or already in shape, these programs will get you ready for success.
  • MtnTough is life changing

    I started MtnTough Foundation back in July and have done 2 rounds through it and I am currently halfway through KB20. At this point, it is no longer a workout program but has become a lifestyle change. I have changed the way I eat, wake up everyday excited to go workout and have slowly started putting together a home gym so I can do the backcountry hunter series in time. Backcountry hunting has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. My dad used to strap me onto his old aluminum frame pack and carry me around as he prepped for Colorado elk hunting trips and now my daughters get to watch me prepare for my own adventures that I hope someday they will join me on. Anyone interested in hunting, hiking or spending more time outdoors in an active way will benefit from MtnTough. Thank you for the quality, tested and effective content. Keep up the awesome work!
  • I Can Move Again

    The Mountain Tough App is extremely easy to use. I can pull the workouts up on my phone and take them anywhere with me. It’s really easy to set my phone up and follow along with the videos. I’m on week 4 of the foundation plan and I can already tell a difference in how I move and how I sleep. I feel strong again. I’m a former college athlete, and, after a hip dislocation and putting off replacement surgery, I didn’t think I would ever be able to get back into working out again. The foundation program has helped me strengthen my hips, core, and legs to the point where I feel stable again and comfortable moving. I didn’t think that was possible.
