  • New app not good at all.

Who’s happened?? New app is terrible. Not only does it log me out every single time when I want to go to my rewards but I can no longer click on an item from the weekly ad to add to a list. This app no longer serves any purpose for me.

Update still nothing. Bad app. Can’t make a list from an ad and still cannot stay logged on. I’m deleting the app and sticking with the Hy-vee app. Much better.

  • Worst app

The previous version was far better. You could tap to add things to you list and get the online coupons. This app you get none of that. It is cumbersome and not user friendly. A great example of terrible customer service.
  • Downloaded for Rewards and am disappointed

Every time they ask me for my cub rewards at checkout. Finally decided to set one up through this app and I have thus far not been able to get it to work right.

It signs you out after a certain amount of time and have had to forgo using my rewards account on a few occasions for the sheer inconvenience of needing to sign in while in the check out line (the app does not save your information for easy sign in).

No big deal, I decide I will just sign in before I go into the store and I can just pull it up at the end without issue. Well now I’m having trouble even signing in because the app freezes up and does not complete the sign in process.

Incredible! Hopefully I can get a physical card sent to me so I don’t have to deal with this garbage app.

  • Bummer of an upgrade

The app is ridiculous to use can't sort coupons have to scroll through everything. Can't just scan items and you can't even find the scan bar at checkout neither can your store. Also if you want to save on the same thing laundry soap it's the app for you they never have anything on sale I e meats dairy if they do you have to buy 3 to save 50 cents. For all these reasons I'm going back to Target much friendlier app and actual sakes.

  • Garbage

Session expired is all I get. Have to log out and log back in, which is painful. The whole point of an app is to keep you logged in, not just to be a thin wrapper of a non-mobile-friendly website. Clipping coupons is nearly impossible in a phone because of the not closeable pop up that covers the whole screen. I’ve given up on using the app entirely and just enter my phone number at checkout. Major step backwards from the previous app.

  • Wasting my time

Apps are supposed to save time, this is a waste. Please improve this, Cub Foods- I am a loyal customer for many years. When looking through All Coupons tonight, I am scrolling forever… then decide to sort by category. I was looking for a Meat item, and it did sort the items by category, but I couldn’t go direct to the category I wanted. It said each category, then listed ALL of the coupons in that category… and guess what? MEAT was the last category listed, Ugh! Even BABY was listed before Meat, how many people are shopping for a baby? Not as many as are shopping for meat. Not worth my time to get a mere 50¢ off of something when I purchase two of the item, for instance.

  • Big Step Backwards

Grocery shopping has become way more time-consuming and complicated at Cub with their “need to buy 5 to get the sale price” bundling nonsense, no print ad with the Shopper anymore, and this worthless app. The app doesn’t let you stay logged in; coupons can be difficult to find; and it takes way longer to scroll through the specials when you can only see one item at a time versus six or eight at a glance with the old app. You shouldn’t have to clip ANY coupons in the app when you have rewards - the sale price should be automatic just by entering your phone number at checkout. Grrr!

  • Cross Platform App Development - Poor User Experience

This app feels very much that it was written using cross platform development tools. It doesn’t deliver a good user experience. Should be native and modern. Feels like a website in an app.

Disclaimer, I’m a developer so this is a technical review in addition to user experience.

    1. Sign up with email doesn’t work
    2. Sign up with Apple ID doesn’t work
    3. Privacy Statement and Terms of Service are not accessible via the app, they go to a “we are making some improvements” web rendering
    4. The experience doesn’t feel like it fits with iOS
    5. Scanning QR coupons in store don’t direct me to the app
    6. Everything is presented in web views
    7. The app icon was indistinguishable from the old app, I had to delete both then redownload the new one
    8. The local specials that said clip coupon in the app, didn’t show in the app

Hopefully some large changes happen to the app and things get much better.

P.S. the contact us goes to a web form. If I could have sent feedback directly to your app developers I would have done that instead.

  • New app took us backwards.

Gone are circling the items in the weekly ad by simply touching it. Gone is finding what your fuel reward is. All I get is a page that asks me to log out and log back in or an explanation of what the fuels program is. Totally disappointed with what was touted as the new and improved Cub app. if I could delete this new version from my phone and get back to the old one, I would do so in a heartbeat. Cub is the only app I know of where they offer a phone number for assistance. Nobody does that. That tells you how bad it is.

  • So frustrating!

I’d like to review the functionality of this app, but frankly since it doesn’t function for me, this will be hard. Every time I’ve used the app so far it has not allowed me to sign in with my established password. I have had to reset the password every single time I’ve used it. We’d like to try grocery pickup at Cub, but it’s not going to happen until I can get the app to function.
