  • DO NOT DOWNLOAD - No longer works - useless

At first this app was great, I used it routinely to track my purchases. It was perfect for keeping track of when my fiancé and I would Venmo each other for stuff since my normal bank accounts don’t track the categories from Venmo. Over the past couple months there’s been a few times where it stopped logging my purchases, but relinking my bank account always fixed it. However, as of September 2024, the app completely stopped working. When I clicked on it, all I got a was a loading screen. I tried signing out - didn’t work, I tried deleting the app and redownloading it - didn’t work. It asks me to put in my phone number and just doesn’t do anything. Based on the reviews, I’m not the only one so don’t waste your time downloading this.

  • APP STOPPED WORKING

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE APP HAS STOPPED WORKING

I’ve had this app for 2 years (since September 2022) and used to be a huge fan… HOWEVER over the past two months this Oops has gone downhill to the point where i wouldn’t recommend it anymore 1. Routinely disconnects my accounts and purchases I’ve made will no longer show up in the sort tab so the app is BASICALLY USELESS 2. there is no ‘help’ option, no FAQ, nothing. you have to text a random number and they never respond to you Does not do its basic function anymore — sorting transactions into categories. I don’t care about seeing what my friends spending habits are if THE BASIC FUNCTION OF THE APP DOESNT WORK ANYMORE

UPDATE: As of August 2024 the app has completely stopped working. I was signed out of my account and there is no way to sign back in or even try to create a new account. The ‘Help’ option continues to not work.

  • No Longer Working and No Support

I was using Oops for a few months when it was the free version. I liked it so much that I decided to start paying for it when they rolled out a monthly subscription cost. I used it for about 2 months, paying for an account, and then in the middle of August all my expenses stopped showing up to track. I tried signing in/out, updating the app, and reconnecting my bank accounts but nothing changed. In the settings menu I selected a “I need help” button which led me to a text. I sent a text message explaining my problem and got no reply. I waited a few days. My phone needed an update so I updated my phone thinking maybe that would help the issue. After the update nothing was different so I again attempted to disconnect my bank accounts, however, they just kept reappearing when I rechecked. I logged out of the app and now I can’t even log back in. I put my phone number in to log in and it takes me nowhere. I even reached out to customer support via email and still no reply. I cancelled my membership and will be using Quicken instead.

  • All of a sudden can’t access without paying?

Update: PLEASE DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I’m so sad about oops not working out. After they dealt with the issue I wrote about previously I was in love with the app again for about 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden it won’t show me ANY transactions. I’ve disconnected and reconnected my account many times and it simply won’t show any transactions so I can’t track any of my spending. The app has become useless and I will be deleting!

Previous: I used to LOVE this app and recommend it to all of my friends. Then all of sudden I could no longer log in without paying $4/ a week? Like fully cannot get past the Home Screen into the app that is LOGGED INTO MT BANK ACCOUNT without payment…… I am fine if there is a free version and a premium version and before this I probably would have upgraded to premium but locking me out of where my budgets are from multiple months and having my banking info….🚩🚩🚩🚩

  • Used to love this app, but $5 a week for it IS an oops

I’ve been an Oops user since the beginning and find the app perfect for tracking my spending. I really enjoyed the simplicity and ability to look back. Unfortunately today the app is prompting me to purchase a subscription and won’t show my my historical data. Im so glad I got to use the app for so long in its hey day, but I’m so disappointed they went with this model. I don’t think I’ll be paying the subscription at $5 per week, maaaybe I’d pay $10-20 for the year, but while I love the app, and want them to succeed, it just doesn’t deliver enough value to pay much more than that.

I’ll miss you Oops, been a loyal user, submitted feedback and bugs, joined your IG channel and everything, but today is deletion day.

  • Doesn’t work anymore

I downloaded this app a couple years ago and found it to be helpful (also fun to swipe through each transaction). The app stopped connecting to my bank account so I uninstalled it for a bit. I tried to login to my old account and it forced me to make a new one, and then immediately agree pay $6.99 after 3 days for free. So I do that, right? … and I still can’t log into my bank! You can assume I unsubscribed shortly after. This app is not Canadian friendly :(

  • was very good but is now useless

I downloaded this app 9 months ago and it was brilliant, recently tho they updated it so that you cant continue using it or delete your account unless you pay.
  • I wish I could add cash income and expenses

I love this app for its simplicity. I also like that I get to flip through and categorize all the transactions myself. Even when I get behind and forget to sort them, I don’t have any trouble because it tells me where I made a transaction and when. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish I could manually enter cash transactions. I am in the service industry and have a hard time managing the cash I make because I don’t go to the bank very often. I forget how much cash I have made and where it all goes when I’m spending it. I would love to be able to enter my cash income after each shift and my cash transactions. Seeing my cash spending habits on this app would help me save I think. I would love to see both my cash and bank as a total. I think it would also require a feature that balances the total balance when I deposit some of that cash. Other apps that have this feature don’t have the aesthetic and simplicity that Oops does.

  • App Gone Downhill

I’ve been using this app for a long time, and now the entire thing is behind a paywall. Can’t access it all. The fact that many things were becoming blocked behind adding friends and paywalls when I had a access to them previously was the first red flag. At least have something available for older users to use the app the same as before, making new ones pay. But even that is not very acceptable. Will be deleting and I do not recommend, there are other ways to track money. Though I did like that the app was simple to understand and had a connection to friends/see others major spending. Could’ve been good if you guys weren’t so money hungry.
