  • Love this program

I have been following Chris Freytag and GHUTV for years and I highly recommend. It isn’t a structured program but rather a collection of all kinds of workouts for all levels, that you can access at any time to fit your schedule and abilities. They add new workouts every few days and you can access all the older ones as well so you never run out of options. That may be the only downside of the app; sometimes it’s hard to make up my mind which one I want to do next. But if you do prefer more structure they offer monthly calendars where it tells you what workout to do each day for that month. I love that the trainers are authentic and highly relatable to regular everyday people. Give it a try!

  • Lots of videos but lacks functionality

I’ve just started with this app so my views may change over time this is just my initial opinion. Overall, there’s an impressive array of videos, available and styles of exercise even meditation. However, the practical use. Most of the tech tips provided appear to be for the website in a more mobile and she would think that they would be reviewing app features. One thing I find really disappointing is that the video length is not visible from the video description. I understand you can filter by length, but you have to click on each individual video to see how long it is. Another complication with that is in my experience when I’m clicking back out of that video the app seems to need to refresh and takes me back to the top of any list I’m on. So if I’m working my way through a list of videos, I’m kicked back to the beginning each time.

There’s also a inconsistency with able to open a couple of them, but several of them open to blank pages. Since these redirect to a webpage, that also is less satisfactory than if they were grouped within the app that you could access the list, along with a description of what days to do each one.

Another thing that I feel is missing or at least it’s not obvious to me is how to find challenges. challenge but it’s not listed under the calendars and as far as I can tell the only way to find it is to run a search on the name. It seems like when you click on the introductory video for a challenge it should show you the other videos, but that did not happen. Instead chose a random selection of what it says are related videos that is that a random selection of different exercise videos or other program overviews. it would make more sense to me to be able to click on a program or a challenge main video and see the associated videos just for that program or challenge.

One other note is that as I was going through different videos to try them, the audio quality is lacking. In several videos it sounds like you’re in an empty room with the sounds bouncing off the walls.

I’m hoping I will find this more user-friendly future improvements.

  • Great App! Great workouts!

This app has workouts for all fitness levels and always has modifications to make it easier or harder (whichever you need). I love how encouraging the trainers are and how they are always reminding about correct form. The update has made it a bit slow to load but still plays the workouts great. This has made working out at home fun and something I look forward to.
