Pathetic customer service
I placed an order for next day. There was no order number to track either on my phone or email. I reached out to customer service next day with a zero acknowledgement of the message. There was not even an auto response to the text or email I sent. I was just made to wait with no idea about order details. I am not gonna order again from shef and will dispute the charges on the card.

Great shefs but very poor quality app
Some amazing quality and variety of food, and the delivery is usually good, but the app is awful. Very slow and laggy, occasionally crashes and cart gets cleared. Automatically applied promo discounts conveniently disappear. All that is not enough to keep me away from the shefs, but hopefully they iron it out soon.

Feeds my family with unique high quality cuisine
Iโve been using Shef at least two times a week for a year. It is a staple that allows two busy working parents to affordably keep food inspiring and delicious in our household. Pleased to see the funding round. Go Shef!
Apps need improvement
Just started, but the app always froze & given blank white screen. Have to turn off my phone and restart. Very annoying every time using them.using iPhone 12. Still on waiting list so not sure. This rating is the Apps so bad need to be fix.
Unreliable
Our delivery hasnโt arrived. According to the app it was never shipped. Customer support wasnโt responsive, neither in real time nor the day after. $118 flushed down the toilet. A pleasant celebration was ruined. Will we ever get a refund?
App not easy to navigate
I LOVE this concept and have had some delicious homemade food delivered with no issues. The app could use some improvements though. It would be great if you could click on past orders, select one of the dishes, and be able to reorder. Instead it takes you to description but no option to reorder. You have to go back to desired delivery date, find the Shef, then go through all their menu items to find it. Given that this is a great way to sample unfamiliar foods, I donโt always recall the exact name so this process is cumbersome. It would also be great to easily search Shefs and sort by their ratings.

Service fee?
When you charge a $13.00 service fee I deduct the tip from that. You are only hurting your chefs. Why would you charge this amount of money?
Great when it works
I love the concept, and I love the food. I had the app when I had an android phone and it worked great. When I switched to an iPhone, I was disappointed that the app doesnโt open most of the time. I click the icon and I get a white screen. When I do finally get it to open, and I am looking at reviews, the โload moreโ button doesnโt work. Very unhappy with this app. Love the chefs and the food. Fix the app!

Great access to great food
This is the best meal delivery service Iโve tried, and Iโve tried several. It may be slightly difficult to navigate the app/website, but the food arrives reliably and the quality is excellent. You wonโt regret ordering from Shef.
