Fraudulent Company

Sunnova and partner installer were supposed to install a 16 SEER Rheem Heat Pump but installed a 14 SEER Grand Aire Cool Only AC. I haven’t had heat in my home for over a year now! Installer went bankrupt, and Sunnova refuses to fix system or terminate contract. I have sent Sunnova a breach of contract notice and subsequent termination notice, both I received no formal response on. This was 7 months ago! Sunnova has since illegally tried connecting my bank account to autopay without approval, trespassed on my property, and reported my non existent account (as contract is terminated) to the credit bureaus. This company is an absolute scam! Look at their CEO John Berger. He started at Enron, made some friends in the department of energy after the scandal, and since has been founding multiple scam Solar companies (all have atrocious reviews). These people and company are frauds. Absolutely avoid!!!!

Bricks

Total garbage. Try to log in, says login error and bricks every time. Even with correct login credentials

Waiting to see

I’ll try it but I sure hope it’s better than their customer service which is absolutely horrible. I have been getting nothing out of having this solar system and it’s out of service more than it is producing and you have to call and get your credits and good luck with getting a human body to speak to. maybe the app will improve their service?

Crashes

All this app has done so far is crash. I’ve even gone through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling.

Support is lacking

Sunnova installed a solar system with a Tesla battery. The system was misconfigured. That is not the end of the world.. nobody is perfect. I had to call Tesla Powerwall support to identify the problem. I reported the problem to Sunnova and they scheduled a maintenance visit. The technicians were not familiar with the newest version of the Tesla hardware and did their best. I monitored the system for a few days and noticed a different problem. I contacted Tesla Powerwall support and they said the CT was installed backwards. I don’t know what that means but I passed the information to Sunnova support. After a week, Sunnova has not scheduled another maintenance visit and they don’t even have an ETA. I called a few more times to escalate the case and the representatives are unable to schedule maintenance visits or transfer calls to supervisors. The purchase contract includes support for 25 years. They were paid up front for the solar system. Based on my experience, I would suggest finding a different solar provider.

This app has no reason to exist

I’m a software engineer myself. My review is subjective as an engineer, not as a user.
What’s the point of this app? Well, to report how much the system is producing, in probably near real time. The thing is that the readings are extremely inaccurate. It would sometimes report some and sometimes it won’t. Even at noon. It seems either at random or just the data pipeline is extremely slow and unreliable. They told me to wait some time after first activation to see data. It’s been a month it won’t report on cumulative readings for the last week? What’s the SLA of this data? Months?
The UI seems like done for a high school project. Unintuitive as it can be. Someone needs some UI design classes.
So, if the point of this app is to report Kwh production, and it doesn’t do it reliably (bad data is worse than no data), the UI is not user friendly, what’s the point? The shouldn’t exist at all. If sunnova just outsourced it, claim your money.

App Doesn’t Work

I have had the about for about 6 weeks now and the app has not worked since installing. My account is associated to the app but the app does not present any data that my panels are producing power. Submitted a ticket to support and the ticket was closed without resolving the issue. Useless app, useless customer service.

No reconoce cuenta

Not working

I have the newest version but cannot see any information about my system because that part of the app stays it is in a perpetual loading stage.
