Terrible
If you shoot any kind of work that needs to go to press this app is not fit for purpose. Trying to connect the app with my A7iv to transfer images during an event just results in error messages and instructions to change settings that are all correct. Why they can’t get this right in 2024 with the demands on pro photographers is beyond belief.Show lessfreddygunns

The opposite of user friendly
I love Sony cameras but it’s like another company writes the worst possible apps to do the most simple things like transfering a photo to your phone. Every single Sony camera app over the last decade is/was a flaky complex jumble that often eventually fails to do the basics at all. Doesn’t connect to a7iv
Error message keeps coming on the app which says that the camera is already registered to my phone, yet on the camera there are no connected devicesAllzebra
Timestamps of imported photos are wrong
When you import photos from the camera, and save them into iPhone’s photo library, the timestamps would become the time when the import happens, rather than when the photos were taken. However, when the photos are copied to the computer via a card reader, the timestamps are correct. This is really annoying and should be fixed.
I am using A7CR (firmware 1.0.1) and Creator’s App version 2.2.0.Show lessquentinchen

Absolute garbage app!
Come on Sony! We spend thousands of dollars on your cameras and you can’t bother to develop a working mobile app that is not a flaky mess? I’ve literally spent hours dealing with this buggy app with intermittent and unstable connections and no rhyme or reason as to any factors that cause it to bug out.Show lessbriancomposer
OK, when it works, which isn’t often
Connecting my Sony a7iv is so unpredictable with this app, it’s really annoying. The app is also unstable and sometimes either drops the connection with the camera, or just quits.
When it does connect, the photos get transferred etc ok.
I found another app, Shutter, recommended by a blog and this has so many more features and works reliably! It’s what Sony should provide with their cameras, which are expensive enough for us to expect a quality and reliable app experience.Show lesssunboi79
Doesn’t work
I tried connecting this to my A6700 and have issues with it, when asking to select camera the screen is blank. Overall a outdated app and the support doesn’t give helpful informationDimondv968
An 3rd rate attempt to obtain users data
This app is required to download & remote control a number of the newer Sony Cameras.
Sony would like access to your location, media, usage and device information. Don’t grant this and you get very frequent pop up errors. They want this for marketing and research.
Camera connection via Bluetooth didn’t work, didn’t show why it wasn’t working, or even that a Bluetooth connection had been established. Wifi functional, but neither intuitive nor well implemented.
‘Social media’ component exists- you too could be a superstar on a platform that’s never likely to go anywhere or be anything.
Cloud storage sounds tempting- but given how poorly the rest of the app functions I’d be very cautious putting anything of value on the cloud. Oh and probably worth checking that cloud stored data is secure, not used for marketing or research.Show lessBikemadkiwi
