I open a .gpr file and can see nothing.
This has become one of my favorite apps for editing photos and doing sketches!

Latest update deleted all brushes and even after restarting I cannot download new ones, I hope this is fixed soon because I LOVE this app and use it daily!
I bought this app around November 2022 and at first really enjoyed it. However, when I started doing more things on it (more specifically, editing RAW photos from my iPhone) it turned out that it was very unstable and would oftentimes crash when doing the most basic things like adjusting color temperature.
I stopped using the app because of the issues and waited for an update. IT FINALLY CAME! The latest version of the app has fixed all of the issues I was having and I can happily say that it continues to be my favorite photo editing app on iPad!!
Thank you to the dev team for your updates. App is working exactly as expected and I’m loving it.
I did the trial, and I liked the apps, I’ve been using affinity for some time now, then I went to purchase the v2 apps and that’s where the trouble started. The apps have been stuck in pending transaction for more than 24 hours, I called apple and they said it was the bank’s fault, I called the bank and they said it’s apple’s fault. Now reading these reviews, I’m thinking it’s serif’s fault. I’ve been largely inconvenienced by this transaction, I shouldn’t have to be calling the bank, or apple, and going through those dreaded automated systems!
Crash, crash and more crash. Unbelievable how unusable this is. What happened?
App description says “No data collected” but it connects to various Serif servers and who knows what it uploads! This is unacceptable. Also if you purchase the app directly from the App Store, the app prompts you to create a Serif account, every, single, app launch!! Absolutely unacceptable. Feels like a scummy garbage app now. Clearly it was taken over “marketing and growth optimizer” so it’s natural that if now feels like cancer. Stay from this. Version 1 was great. This is pure garbage.
Every time i go to the Develop Photo tab and try to adjust the white balance the app closes out every single time. It wont let you adjust the white balance in the developer tab. You have to open an adjustment layer to do the white balance. PLEASE FIX
AP began crashing in the middle of a project. I delete and go to reinstall the app. It is no longer available. I find AP2 and have to repurchase because my first purchase of $30 did not require an account. I purchase through Apple. You must be kidding! I bought it again. It is still crashing and I can not finish my project! What now? This is for a business.
I purchased this maybe mid-December 2022, so not even that long ago, yet ive only been ABLE to use it maybe 2-4 times, TRYING to edit a single photo sucessfully. If you noticed the 1-star review, then there is something wrong with the app.
As you all know, this is suppose to be a ‘better’ photoshop alternative, since this is more or less a ‘one-time’ purchase (not exactly though).
Installing it and just being on the ‘home/main’ page of the app, you dont experience any crashes, but as soon as you load up ANY photo and try to make some edits, theres like a 95% chance it crashes (loosing any or all edits you did).
Do note, im using this on a 2020 iPad Pro (A12Z), so the hardware should still be able to run the app as normal. I’ve seen some reviews already complaining about it crashing on M1 iPads too, so clearly the app itself is the problem.
Honestly, i already wasted like $100 buying the all their 3-apps in a bundle on their site, and i feel like i basically got scammed 1/3 of what i payed since this app doesnt work at all. Yes, i could use the desktop version of it, but the only reason i purchased this was to be able to use it on my iPad Pro, since im not always around a desktop.
I HONESTLY hope the devs fix this issue, since its clearly been happening for a long time already. Once things do get fixed, id be willing to use it again and MAYBE rate is better if no more issues occur.
Affinity is the new Adobe. Try it yourself and find out why. I already switched. It’s that good.
