Is this just pay to win ?
So I’ve noticed that half of the towers you have to pay for and I’ve been playing the game enjoying it and when I realized that you have to pay for the other half of the towers and hero’s was dumb i understand they are trying to make money but what’s the point if I have to pay for the game and the towers and hero’s ? I don’t know about everyone else but I would’ve liked to unlock all the towers and hero’s within time not only paying for them but I will say the actual gameplay is fun but pay to to unlock stuff is a no no for meOhsootrickyyy
Disappointing
Loved the first two kingdom rush games, but its been downhill since. This one again has paywalled towers which is a shame. But the real shock is they’ve made the battlegrounds larger than the screen, so you have to pan around from time to time. And some of those times it really matters to your own detriment. Great game, predatory IAP strategy
The Kingdom Rush games are simply the best when it comes to tower defense. The right balance of pretty graphics, detailed animation, and just-right strategy. Theres no denying this.
In the same way there is no denying that charging a minimum of $35 to access all heroes and towers, core components of the game, is ludicrous. Why advertise allowing “two heroes at once” when you are allowed a total of four heroes without shelling out another few dollars? And way, way more than this if you want to use the “cool” heroes used so prominently in the game’s promotional material.
Shame on Ironhide, who has learned no lesson from doing this in the past. I am sorely disappointed and wish they would realize people like me - their fans - discovered them not through an IAP-laden cash grab but through the free online games we were allowed to explore and enjoy without needing to spend a bit more money here and a bit more money there. Eventually the fans of Kingdom Rush from those days will be gone and there will be no new fans to replace them.
And that’s a shame. Because these truly are very good games, it just seems like an HBS MBA snuck into their strategy meetings with the intent to wring value out of the customer - not provide maximum value to the customer. It isn’t too late to turn it around, but I doubt they ever will.a.yellis
Great Game but there is one problem
This game feels great to play and I love the customization options available. However, the only problem I feel needs to be addressed is the (in my opinion) scummy monetization. In this game you can by premium towers and heroes, similar to Kingdom rush vengeance. Now I’d normally be fine with having premium heroes since it impacts gameplay much less than towers. However, the premium towers and heroes are much better and cooler in my opinion. I get that they have to make money but they could at least either make the game a bit more expensive and then get rid of the premium or they could also add it to Apple Arcade. Overall, the gameplay is great and it feels like the kingdom rush that I missed.PancakePalace62
Still the Best
Been playing for this game since I was 10. I have to say that each game is getting better and better, thanks for all these years hard-work creating the best tower-defense series ever! However, I feel the towers and enemies of KR5 are less interesting than KR4. But the 2 heroes are amazing! Overall it is still as good as before, very good!chuqingtong
