  • The Nostr App Your iPhone Needs

This app is just good. It does everything you need, nothing you don’t. A shout out to the development team here for making something great; and giving this game changing protocol the start on mobile that it deserves.
  • Seems way better than Meta apps, “X”, etc.

A+ decentralized social media app that (drum roll…) COLLECTS ZERO DATA. Much, MUCH easier to use than Mastodon, and the UI is seamless just like any other “main stream” social media app… AND YET, it does NOT harvest your data and sell it to the highest bidder.

Seems like a win/win scenario just to compare it with your current social media app of choice and how they compare.

Download Damus app just to check it out and if you don’t like it, simply delete it. No data collected unlike every other app you use.

SIDE NOTE FOR APP STORE: Funny I left a similar positive review months ago from the same Apple ID account and device yet apple…. and this application store say I never left a review in the first place?… 🤔🤔🤔🧐🧐 🤨.

  • Have the conversations you want to have!

Seek out real people based on your actual interests, not what some algorithm is telling you to be mad about. Decentralized and open source will always win.
  • Never a bad idea to embrace change

What could be better? A place where you can send sats to folks and creators but there is no “big brother is watching you” over there.
  • Damus is Excellent, despite Apple’s attempts to sabotage it

Damus is far and away the best NOSTR client available any platform. It was even better a few versions ago when you could ZAP btc/sats to people. But Apple just couldn’t stand that someone was doing something truly innovative if they weren’t getting a 30% cut of the action. If there was a way to rate the Apple App Store I’d give it a big fat zero.

  • An option beyond better

Nostr is the future and Damus will help usher in that future. Functionality is great. Constantly evolving. That’s why Apple is shaking in their boots and looking for any reason they can stifle it’s gross. Bitcoin and Oster will change the world tools like Damus are inevitable.
Get in while it’s still early and establish yourself using great clients like this one

  • The best social media experience since Instagram in 2009

This app has brought good vibes back to the internet. It should stay forever.

It’s more social than media, and it brings the kind of peace of mind that only using an open protocol can provide.

Zapping and receiving zaps is the truest form of real interaction. It’s snapping at a poetry slam - throwing change at buskers. It’s here to stay.

  • Dear Apple: allowing zap tips is THE ethical thing

Apple, zaps tips do NOT integrate at all with the USD financial rails that you have made rules for. It is unethical to disallow an app that uses lightning tips when you lacked the foresight to specifically call it out. There is ZERO risk to allow this app which does not have any touch points to the fraud-prone fiat financial system. Please allow this app to pave the way to a good future for us all, which is what Steve would have wanted.

  • Addicted to Damus

I’m writing this as a call for help. I’m in deep trouble. I’m addicted to Damus and it has taken over my life.

    Wake up. Damus.
    Bathroom. Damus.
    Nature walk. Damus.
    Birthday party (mine). Damus.

No matter where I go it’s right there, following me in my pocket and in my mind.

Check me. Check me. Maybe someone zapped you. Maybe you made a new friend. Check me. Do it!

Why is Damus so addicting? I though the lack of algorithms was supposed to set me free? I thought the freedom to choose my nostr client was supposed to make me less addicted?

Maybe it’s the zaps? Maybe it’s the people? Maybe it’s the memes? The real connections formed unlike on other social media?

I don’t know. But, it’s hard to leave. I’m powerless.

Damus is the number one app by usage on my phone by a long shot. I can’t even utter the number of hours because it’s too embarrassing. I am weak.

Can someone make a Damus Light with half the fun? Free me from my burden. I beg thee!

Time’s up. Back to Damus. Goodbye stranger. *waves*

  • Nostr plus Damus is the front line

These platforms and protocals are the front line on our right to free speech. Any Govt and any Corporation that poses a risk to this right will not only fail in their attempts but will also be replaced by a system that is controlled by citizens. Tyrants, beware. FAFO
