  • App malfunction

Sometimes the app doesn’t let me select the products I used for the workout or run and I have to close it and reopen and still doesn’t work might be a big problem but overall still a good app for it being free
  • Great Program

I’m blown away that this app is free. The programming is great. On week two of the Hybrid athlete plan and I love it. I’m relatively experienced and fit so be sure to check your ego if your just starting a hybrid plan or really consider building a base first if you are new to the gym completely.

One request, I would love to see a ultramarathon hybrid and stand alone plan. 50k and/or 100 miler. I would be willing to pay for that based on how well organized these other plans are.

  • Much appreciated structure

I am beyond overwhelmed by the gym. I’ve dabbled in lifting, running, cycling etc. most of the time I create my own “program” off research. Rarely do I stick to it long term.

I’m currently following the hybrid. It’s forced me to use equipment in the gym I’ve never used and have been intimidated. I’m doing some of the runs and substituting others for cycling.

I really enjoy the lifts being planned out for me. With modifications I’ve been working through it and really enjoying the process.

  • Best fitness app I’ve used

Easy to navigate, easy to follow, easy to get started, all prep work for 1 mile and 1 rep max were done the day before and was able to get started, also with the 2 days rest I can make up runs or lifts if I missed a 2 day without over taxing my recovery
  • Workouts

The app is great and the workouts are phenomenal. I appreciate the 12 week hybrid training program, allows to really focus on the workouts with having to design my own.

After the 12 weeks is their a recommendation on what to do next for programming?
  • Beginner marathon plan

The training plan had me well prepared to complete the distance. The workouts were easily pushed to my Garmin watch and keep me on track during every training event. I would highly recommend this App for anyone new to the marathon world.
  • Super helpful in my fitness journey

App has been extremely helpful in my fitness journey. I’m more of a runner and wanted to start training like a hybrid athlete and wasn’t sure where to start. The app has been amazing and I’ve seen very fast signs of building strength. On week 5 and love it. Can’t believe the app is free also. Love BPN!

  • Beginner Training Plans Need Adjustments

The Marathon Training Plan for beginner runners is overwhelmingly aggressive. I don't think an 8-mile long run is viable for bodies that have only just gotten into running. I would suggest extending the 16-week program or reducing the mileage, especially early on in the first few weeks of the program. What do I know? I'm not a professional running coach, just a guy with shin splints :)

  • Great Free Workout App

I’ve been using this app for a few months and love it. I’d say it’s not for the beginner. You should have a solid base before getting into one of the workout plans (2-3 months in the gym).
Suggestions: I would make a workout plan for people with 45 minutes to 1 hour of time a day. Sometimes the app has 2 workouts scheduled for the same day. Not a huge deal because I spread those across 2 days.
I would also love to see an app for Apple Watch. It would be cool to just bring the watch to the gym instead of looking at my phone.
I would like to see a way to check workouts off as completed during a workout. This would be useful when you go out of order at the gym. Someone is using the equipment for a specific exercise.
    Overall the app is great!

  • Garmin x BPN

BPN has been awesome! I was in that awkward stage where it doesn’t really feel like any progress is being made, but after I switched training plans to the BPN hybrid athlete, my performance was skyrocketing!

Unfortunately though, I don’t like how you can connect a Garmin watch and it doesn’t do anything but tell you health metrics in the app. I want a BPN x Garmin collaboration project where you can sync the workouts from the BPN app to your Garmin device. That would make it the perfect app!
