  • Great CGM built for life changes

First, this is NOT an app for diabetes. The people giving this bad reviews because it does more than just read glucose levels have completely misunderstood this app.

I have been using a CGM for years for a more healthy lifestyle. This does everything those companies do for a fraction of the cost.

Here is what is different about this one compared to the other companies:

    Cons:
    1) I wish it tracked macros. Instead you just put in a description of your food. If you want to track macros, you will need another app.

    2) There is no widget or Apple Watch integration. I love being able to read my glucose right from my watch or right on my Home Screen without opening an app.

    Pros:
    1) It gives you minute by minute readings. AMAZING!

    2) the app layout is good, and provides lots of tips and recipes to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

    3) It’s a fraction of the cost of the other companies.

    4) I tried the other OTC brand and this one is so much better. It’s like night and day.

I am only on my first week, so I am still learning the program, but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the other companies, you may want to give this a try!

  • History Graph is Inaccurate

So initially I was very impressed with the app and its functionality. But I discovered a major issue that has ruined the experience for me. I had the app open to watch my glucose spike in real time and noted to myself the peak I reached and at what time. A couple hours later I went to the history graph to view my peak again and it recorded a completely different number! I saw with my own eyes the level I was at, and on the graph it’s a different number at the same exact time. So the history graph is essentially useless because the data it’s recording isn’t accurate or real. The only real way to see your glucose, is to open the app and watch in real time. Because of this I can’t recommend this app or device to anyone.

  • Learned a lot!

I knew little about how glucose impacted my metabolism before getting Lingo. I was able to experiment and start understanding what worked for me and what to avoid and was surprised by a few things along the way! The app is sleek and helps you track your habits and correlates them with your glucose. I’m giving 4 stars as I think it could provide more personalized insights and guidance and help me better understand how I’m progressing. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

  • Better than expected

Information on what exactly is in the app was hard to find but the $49 price point of the Lingo device was compelling enough to give it a try.

For general monitoring I’ve found it to be decent although it isn’t apparent how a lingo score is calculated. Some of the help phrasing left me wondering initially if a Lingo number is good or bad. The phrase “If you don’t accrue lingo points on a particular day, don’t stress. It could be good” was especially confusing.

I like the real time updates and that I can go back in history to see numbers, although it looks like the history smooths out some of the major peaks and valleys captured real time. I agree with other reviewers that an Apple Watch app would be great to have and enhance the overall experience.

  • Horrible IT Systems

Within minutes of ordering I discovered multiple problems with their IT flow. After receiving the sensors more problems followed. 1. The FAQ does not mention any shipping address restrictions or the carrier. Only after placing an order does an order confirmation screen appear stating that UPS is the carrier (which will not work for my PO Box). 2. In the app outdated tech (sms) is forced upon users (rather than TOTP or U2F) for signup. 3. The app Face ID/Touch ID Signup option appears to be conflated with passkey/iCloud keychain use. 4. There are multiple other UI problems such as a lack of metric system options for US users that prefer to use pounds or inches. 5. Not at all the apps data sharing permissions appear mandatory for the app to function as intended. I consider the privacy implications of this app to be onerous.
    7. User access to CGM data is limited to viewing a graph (with limited history)in the app. There is no ability to export the raw data to use/analyze externally.
    8. Their support desk is horrible and appear to be cutting/pasting many responses from a script which may or may not be directly relevant to your concern. They also prematurely are closing tickets before issues are resolved.

  • Lingo reading off by 9 to 30 mg/dl

I have used several CGM in the past, including Libra and Stelo. After I tried lingo last week, I noticed my blood sugar level got much better. Initially I thought is the latest exercise that helped. After I used the traditional test using finger blood, I found the reading is lower by 9 to 30. This is in the morning before meal.

I can’t describe how furious I am. How could a CGM off by 30?

  • Incredible amount of data at your fingertips

This app is pretty incredible for its tiny size and cost. I’ve used this app for 2 weeks now and it’s given me a summary of my eating habits and what spiked my sugar. The UI is very pretty and doesn’t overload you with information. The graphical view is particularly helpful so I can see my snacking and how that correlates to the sugar spikes (and my mood later). I would highly recommend this for anyone trying to get a better grasp on their eating habits, lifestyle, and anyone who just wants to be healthier / feel better.

  • Interface matters

If it doesn’t interface with Apple health and doesn’t keep data for more than a week in the app this is pointless. Go with the stelo instead - better integration and actually allows you to use the data generated. Disappointing to say the least.
  • Latest update freezes

Really enjoyed using until latest app update!
Now app freezes doesn’t record glucose straight away and takes ages to reset itself
    Much preferred old version app
Product is expensive so without app detail and data experience is poor… Needs resolving urgently or I’ll need to cancel my subscription which will be disappointing …

  • Disappointing experience

    Disappointing experience.
First sensor would not work or synch with phone to activate.
Used my second sensor, worked for a week, and was enjoying it, although it came off while dressing before the 2 weeks were up.
Tried to replace the sensor twice and with each new sensor (used 2) would not pair/synch with phone or restore readings.

I will say customer service is very responsive.

However, both replacement sensors would not function when attempting to pair with phone.
I just wanted sensors that worked.

Waiting for another replacement…and will try again.
Clearly issues with product and technology.
