  • Unreliable

Stopped working after two days. No recourse. Piece of junk not ready for prime time. Complete waste of money, do not recommend.
  • No Apple Health Integration???

You can’t upload your glucose to Apple Health - Dexcom’s Stelo does. So all your data will only ever live in the Lingo app.

Also upset you can’t look at your glucose chart from previous days, they just give you an obfuscated metric like Lingo Counts.
  • Very basic and missing essential features

Missing: Apple health integration, Apple Watch support , more granular chart, custom notifications of desired glucose levels, dark mode to list a few.
  • Amazing!

I was excited to try this device, but figured the app would be primitive at first. Not so at all! I’ve been using it for a week and really like it. My favorite features are the real time tracking, the easy ability label spikes and troughs with notes, and the daily and weekly averages and ranges. It’s beautifully presented and clear. Most important, so far it has just worked.

It has already given me a very useful insight: exercise brings my blood sugar down really well, and it’s a bit high first thing. I am experimenting with exercising first thing to see if that lowers my average.

Really great job on the app and the device!

  • Misleading Apple Health Integration

The Lingo website implies that Lingo integrates with Apple Health for workouts. However, it only reads data from Apple Health, it will not export blood glucose data back into Apple Health. If I had known this up-front, I wouldn’t have purchased this device.
  • App is not working

I got my lingo and added app and created partial account went to login locks up and resets! I have this thing in my arm and no way to activate it!!! So disappointing
  • Can’t even create an account

Got the sensors, my wife applied the sensor, then tried to create an account to connect it with the app. The website that opens to log in fails when trying to create a new account. What app fails at the basic function of account creation?
I was somehow able to make an account and discovered the app only lets you see the glucose level accurately. The graph isn’t scrollable so if you didn’t catch a spike in the moment, can only get a vague idea what the numbers were. I paid for this tool, let me see my gd data. And for the love of Pete, integrate to the Apple health app.

  • Interesting insight into the effects of foods you eat

The sensor and app were easy to connect, and you’re up and running within an hour of setting up. It’s pretty interesting to see the effects of foods on your glucose levels. I found the app content to be interesting too but overall the real time glucose graph is the best feature.

    Developer Response

That’s great! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our app. We’re glad to hear you find the concept interesting.
  • Great to see impact of what I eat and do

I have used Lingo for a month and it was great to see the impact of different foods on my glucose. This made me experiment with different foods to find my optimal regime and order of foods! Also the tips and challenges in the app are very useful!

    Developer Response

That’s great, we’re really glad you enjoyed your Lingo journey!
  • Missing integration in Apple Health

App is okay, but it’s missing integration into Apple Health (sending blood glucose to Health), also having no Apple Watch app is a fail… (I have to open my phone all the time to check the blood sugar)
Really a missed opportunity to do it right…
