  • Extremely basic content. Definitely not ‘coaching’

The articles are extremely basic; the logging is entirely manual. I find the CGM data interesting, but what they count as a spike seems very arbitrary. I have days with Lingo counts of zero - and others which are 50. It penalised you for a low glucose count.
As long as all you want to do is get a sense of what might trigger you - the visual data is adequate. Don’t expect anything more. To call it ‘coaching’ is a total misnomer.

  • Needs more content

I like the idea and find it interesting to see how body responds to different glucose triggers, however the content is very limited. Some articles are also poorly formatted or are missing chunks of content. Only a handful of recipes. Overall, fine to play around with for a bit but in order for the app to be more helpful it needs more content.

  • Glucose monitoring for non-diabetics

This is just the app I’ve been looking for. I have bad blood glucose control and have used Libre CGM sensors before (which are basically the same ones you get here) but the Libre app is atrocious and made it difficult to keep track of how food affected me. This app is pretty great and geared for people like me who don’t have diabetes but value monitoring blood glucose.

What I would say is 3 months is a long time to commit if you’re not sure it’s for you. Therefore I would recommend getting a Libre 2 or 3 (which lasts 14 days) with the inferior app to see how glucose sensitive you are. Otherwise you could spend a bunch of money without it benefitting you. Best of luck!

  • Revolutionary

I have been using the Lingo sensor and app for a month now and can honestly say it has changed the way I eat and exercise.
I’ve cut out the sugary snacks after seeing the spikes they were causing in my glucose levels and I now try to exercise at least a little after mealtimes to improve my metabolism.
I find the daily points target especially motivating and challenge myself each day to make healthy choices and stay active in order to keep below the daily goal.
As a result of taking these simple measures I’ve lost weight and feel better physically and mentally.
