Barely works and when it does the search gives you only videos no written articles
Bad app worse writing…entire staff should be fired
Their writers don’t represent the site users. Also a huge amount of content is paid for coverage , ie the video game company pays them to write stories The worst movie, tv show and video game reviews online . Emberwing is the worst journalist on planet Earth!
Missed opportunity

What’s even the point. Would’ve been such a great way to access guides on mobile without dealing with their ad-ridden, battery draining website.

Not worth it
The app has progressively been getting worse over the years. Do yourself a favour and don’t even install it.
Broke and annoying
The app has a nice flow of reviews and updates in the game and tech world which is nice. But they have lately made the app annoying and broken with updates. The annoyances started some updates ago where every time the app opens it asks you to sign in; I don’t have and won’t make an account but that wasn’t an issue until they made that change. I put up with it, because I just don’t care enough to make the account and it only happens when the app is launched after closing it. But now, all the “live feeds” they have rolling are playing audio randomly while reading articles or attempting to watch videos on the app and once the audio starts there is no way to stop it but kill the app; even keeps playing when switching to another app. Honestly, not going to use the app until that gets fixed or they stop having live sessions. But while you’re at it with a fix, stop requesting a sign in every time the app opens or give me an option to turn that annoyance off.

Constantly buggy
This app has so much potential to be great, but with every update comes new frustrating bugs - feed refreshing constantly when scrolling through, no sound in videos, freezing and/crashing, etc. I do hope this becomes more stable, however it has been my experience using it this way for a very long time. I remain optimistic though (fingers crossed).

Too many fake articles
Have been an avid reader of IGN since 2006. This app used to be a dream to use but now 90% of the articles under “latest” are just garbage clicks for their shop and “deals”. Checked it against their website and get totally different feed under latest. Not using it anymore.
