Now THIS is a productivity tool!!
I had been trying some way to make my iPad more functional as a business tool. The lack of a file system really hurt the primary purpose that my wife bought it for me. With this tool - it solves EVERYTHING. I can access and update all of my Office documents through QuickOffice and whatever changes I make - whereever I am - everything is synched! I must say that there was a comment below concerning the need for the developer to recognize that this is now a RELIABILITY application - not just a fun little tool - so please be aware - we NEED you to be solid.
There are other cool options - like streaming my 24K songs that I have yet to play with - but intend to. The iPad i received (actually any iPad they make) isn't enough for my library - so this is a great option that I will be looking into.
The cost of the storage - really nothing in today's terms!

This App is Awesome!!!!!!!
I don't write many reviews but after reading a few of the negative reviews I felt I needed to speak! this app is unbelievable! I have 5 computers and two iPhones syncing all my documents, photos, music you name it. I have been using this app from the inception and have had no problems. To be able to work on the same file from multiple locations and have it always up to date on every device is great! There has never been one single file lost or corrupted in any way! All your files are backed up and secure and after all this time I have total confidence in my data. I am not a computer wizard or programmer and I never thought I could actually get something like this working for me. I have to tell you Sugarsync has it all figured out and you really can't screw it up! They also now have live chat tech support which I used the other day and got imeadiate information. This app has been a life saver for my business. I would have paid 5 times what they charge for this app and data storage. I have 26 apps on my phone and I would give them all up for the use of just Sugarsync.

Excellent application and service. It is essential for me now.
I have been using this application and service for 6 months already and now find it essential. I would love to have editing and writing features, and it would be even better if it could tilt into landscape view, but what the application and service promises to do, it does very well: to give you access to your most important files anywhere and anytime, backup your archives, and do it quickly and effectively, without you doing absolutely anything else but setting it up. This application has been flawless and reliable—and in multiple computers. It is true that Google Documents gives you space to upload documents, but this service saves you the time and hassle to upload each file one by one. And whereas there are many file formats you cannot upload in Google Documents, you can upload virtually anything. There are many other extras too. I recommend this application and service highly. They even give you 45 free days to try it. You cannot beat that.

Excellent
This is a great little app. Works as it should, easy to set up with your other computers to back up and view lots of different docs and files. I understand the advantage of the file backups via USB (quick to view file on iphone etc) but the ease that this app back ups your files makes this so good!
Genius
This is no alternative to MobileMe, it's a supplement. It does what MobileMe doesn't: keeping folders on several Macs/PCs in sync (MobileMe syncs contacts, calendars and bookmarks which SugrSync doesn't).
I set up what folders I want to sync across which desktops and then I can forget about it - it just works in the background after that. And it does.... just work.
I can now work on a project on my work Mac, my home Mac or on my laptop. No longer do I pull my hair in desperation because I forgot to bring a certain file. They're always there and always up to date.
The icing on the cake is that I can access all the synced files from the iPhone as well, and even email large documents without having to download them to the iPhone.
And I may stream the synced music files to my iPhone, i.e it's no longer a problem that my iPhone can't hold my whole music collection. I have full access to it anyway, regardless of whether my desktop is switched on or not.
It's a subscription service and it's great value for money.

Great Service
This is a great service. I tried a few, but settled on SugarSync. Fast, hassel free upload and download. Easy to use, and gives me the ability to access, read and email my files from my iPhone. Awesome!
works great, but SECURITY ISSUES.. WATCH OUT...
The application works exactly as advertised - easy to use, works great. But its strong functionality also raises a security problem.
I have a number of files shared between my desktop and notebook computer, all synced by sugarsync. Since I have added this on my iPhone, they are now ALL visible on my phone. Mostly MSWORD docs.
Its not likely that I will misplace my destkop computer. At least my notebook has a fingerprint reader - and I can encrypt a few really sensitive files.
But its much more likely that someone else gets their hands on my iPhone. The Sugarsync app requires your Sugarsync login ID, but it doesn't automatically log out. I don't have my iPhone password protected - other than this app there is no reason to. I tried syncing both password protected pdfs and MSWord docs, but the iPhone will not read them.
There is apparently no way to tell Sugarsync that only certain files are to show up on the iPhone - everything that you sync between all your other computers (2 in my case) is visible - that's a lot of stuff out in the world.
IF you remember each time you use iPhone sugar sync to log-out, your files seem like they would be protected. But with a little thought this could be redesigned to be much safer. Untill then proceed with real caution.

Couldn't live without it
Sugarsync is a fantastic service, provided by a developer who is constantly improving the product. Case in point - ninja mikey you were disappointed that you couldn't sync photos taken on your iPhone back to your desktop, well following the last update you can do just that. They also recently added the ability to stream ALL the music on your desktop to your iPhone without the need for your desktop to be turned on (which is the flaw in most other streaming apps).
In short, for a few quid a year I get local copies of all my files on all my computers which are always in sync, I get a cloud which I can access from any desktop with an Internet connection and edit any of my files (with any changes I make immediately copied down to all my computers), I get to play any music track stored on my pc on the iPhone whenever I've got a mobile signal, i get to view any of my files on the iphone when i'm out and about, and I get the security of knowing that whatever happens to my files I can always go back to the cloud and undo any deletions or role back any file to it's last five versions. And most impressive of all, all of this just works, and works flawlessly (take note Apple). You need this in your life!!!

Great app. It replaces the web app for the iphone with a great new interface.
I have been using SugarSync for several months now to keep my work files synchronized on three computers and it works great. I use my laptop during the day when I'm in the field away from my desk and when I get back home all the files I have updated or added are already on my desktop computer and vise versa. No syncing or transferring with pen drives or cables. Of course this is all assuming I have an internet connection wherever I am working. But even if I am not connected, I can still sync once I get home. I just turn on my MacBook and give it a couple of minutes and I'm all synced up.
This web app makes SugarSync even better. Now if I'm out running around without my laptop and I need to send a copy of a file to a client, I just whip out the iPhone, open the SugarSync app and in just a few taps the file is sent.
My only problem so far is that I can't see all of the file names if they are long. I can only see the the first bit unless I tap it to bring up the menu. However, this is not that big of a deal. Overall, I am totally pleased with this app.
For anyone needing online storage and synchronization between multiple computers whether they be Mac or PC, SugarSync is a great service and well worth the low price. Now, this web app makes it an even better value if you have an iPhone.

AMAZING!!!
This application is ABSOLUTELY awesome! I use it all the time. It's great to be able to see literally EVERY file that is on your computer on your iPhone. It is also amazing to be able to access your computer files from virtually any computer in the world with Internet via SugarSync. On your own computers, every file you create and edit is automatically syncronized with SugarSync- you don't even have to think about it; it is just done and then you can access it from your phone or any other computer. Also, you are able to create documents from any computer that has the Internet, save it via SugarSync online and immediately access it from your computer or iPhone. You can edit your already saved documents via SugarSync from any computer and save the changes back to SugarSync as well. This application is amazing!!
