Postal code fail

When creating an account my postal code auto filled with no spaces. The app rejected that and displayed a postal code with a space in the middle. So I try to change to that format but the app won’t accept that last character. So, can’t create an account. Alternatively, you can log in with Facebook but security experts say don’t do that. So, no radio.

Hi, sorry to hear that! If you're having trouble creating an account please send an email to ios-ca@iheartradio.com

Why sign in

People listen to the radio because they want simple and easy to access information. This format of creating an account and signing in with the extra step of confirming the email (link sent to junk mail) has ruined my experience with radio. I am just going to listen to a podcast instead.

Hi Ryan, thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback about your experience using the iHeartRadio app. We'll be happy to pass this along to the appropriate parties. In the meantime, if you have any additional questions or concerns please send an email over to ios-ca@iheartradio.com.

Limited to USA users.

I live in Canada so I can’t create an account. Great waste of my storage space.

Go to email to set up profile? That su_ked!

You first kick me out of the old app throwing all previous set in the trash, then make me go to email to set up a “nothing profile”. This wasted my time. I’ve never had to throw out an app for an update before. I’ll update the 1 star if the app leaves me alone and doesn’t send me emails.

In A World Where Danger Is Everywhere...

I was a subscriber to a popular satellite radio company who shall remain nameless. 🤔🤷‍♂️😂 Well, I found myself in between jobs and needing to find a way to stay caught up on what was going on in the worlds of sports, current world events, and the like.

I had downloaded the iHeart Radio iPhone application a few years ago, but I never used it. Actually, I had forgotten about it due to the metal plate in my head negatively reacting to the use of my microwave when preparing my burritos. (My bowels would release and I would forget who I was for about an hour or so.)

Anyway, I decided to utilize the application so as to experiment with and experience the full effects of the frequently promoted pleasure of said application. I must say that I was quite amazed at the vast and diverse selections at my fingertips! I am very thankful for the opportunity to listen to my favourite programs!

I give this application 4 stars due to the excellence in which they approach this stubborn, never say die medium known as ”Radio.” Download it now and find out what you are missing! Also, if you too have a metal plate in your head, your reception will increase by at least 80%! iHeart radio and unlimited data...it is like heaven on earth, it is like Ireland without the pipe bombs. It is 🎯💯 GOLD!

Don’t like it

I’m not comfortable putting in all of my personal info just to listen to music, thank you.

Hi there, we're sorry to see you go! Registering opens up a number of new features to you. We hope you'll create an account so you can continue to enjoy iHeartRadio.

Way too easy to accidentally subscribe

I haven't minded the iHeartRadio app and service and it generally works very well and it’s easy to use. However... I was listening to the radio while riding my bike recently, and pulled my phone out to change the station I was listening to, and somehow managed to accidentally subscribe to the “Plus” service while attempting to lock my phone after. Sorry, it shouldn’t be this easy to subscribe to your paid services, or if it is, it needs to be easier to reverse it immediately so I don’t have to live with a subscription/charges I don’t care to have. I didn’t bother to call Apple to have the charge removed since it seemed like a hassle hardly worth $6. I was able to discontinue the subscription in my Apple account so I won’t get recurring charges. It’s just frustrating that I managed to buy something I didn’t intend to. It should require a few steps to get to the purchase, especially for a recurring subscription! If it manages to happen again, you can bet I will stop using this app and find a different way to stream the stations I listen to.

Hi there, we're so sorry to hear about this experience you had within the app where you accidentally subscribed to iHeartRadio plus. We'd appreciate a bit more information about what exactly happened within the app when this occurred. If possible, could you please send an email over to ios@iheartradio.com?

Subscription is too expensive

Almost but not quite 5🌟, would have kept my monthly subscription but it’s way too costly. For just radio I thought, but considering it’s only $15 or so it’s not that bad. It would be great for a disc jockey (DJ) or a wedding event you can actually set up your own play lists so it can just continue playing continuously. Unless you feel the need to have the DJ interact with you like your in a pub or event to interact with the crowd. I’m sure that if you had issues to where you didn’t have a DJ show up for work then this would work for most small town or small scale clubs that’s holding only 50/75 people or so. I will say that most of the time I am able to find just about anything I want to listen when I had the subscription. And I didn’t have to listen to commercials. It’s really nice cause if you are a big music fan who buys a lot of tracks per month then I would just personally purchase a subscription to the iHeartRadio app. It’s just that cool. But being that I don’t buy that much music and I just couldn’t see spending that kind of money per month.

We understand! Glad you're enjoying the millions of live radio stations, artists, podcasts, and playlists that are available for free without any subscription cost. Thanks for being a loyal iHeart listener!

Subscription

I was charged $5.99 for a subscription that I was “tricked” into signing up for. I canceled the subscription within minutes of discovering that I had signed up for it, but ended up being charged anyway. I went to the online help on the iHeartRadio app to verify that my subscription was canceled and there is no unsubscribe button to hit. I then emailed iHeartRadio and received this response. “iHeartRadio Customer Support does not internally handle subscriptions processed through Apple. However, if you need to cancel your subscription, you can do so by following the procedure below:”

I folloedthe procedure “below” only to get to a dead end. I sure hope I don’t get charged again, I guess I will have to open up a dispute through my credit card company at this point. In the future I will be very very careful what buttons that I tap. It’s a shame that the app gets updated and changes around so much that it is unfamiliar if you don’t use it every single day. Through the many updates I have also lost my favorite stations and my saved stations, and it gets really frustrating.

Hi there, we're so sorry to hear about your less than ideal experience. Would you be able to reach out to us at ios@iheartradio.com. We want to keep you as a listener!

The app slows everything down and even stops internet connection

I wanted to like IHeart Radio but every time, I download the app (which I have downloaded and re downloaded multiple times), it significantly slows my internet connection or even stops it. It also takes forever to load one song on the app and much can't be done on the app when a song is buffering. I even tried closing apps and deleting one or two apps and the app still slows everything down- a lot or even stops apps and the internet all together. Every time, I download the app, the internet stops working and as soon as I delete the app, everything on my phone works normally and fast again. I like that there is a decent selection to choose from (although it seems like Apple Music and Google Play have more variety in music) and the radio station selection is awesome. This app would be great if only the app didn't slow things down. I really wish this app worked. If only it were fast and didn't halt internet connection. I've never had these problems with any other music streaming app.
