  • Long time backgammoner

I’ve been playing backgammon for almost 40 years. This game is fun...sometimes. The easy setting is just that; it’s simple to win with a gammon or backgammon. The medium setting is much more difficult; the dice the computer rolls will always bump your man off if possible, and sometimes the computer rolls 3-4 doubles in a row, making it practically impossible to win the game (one time the computer rolled 6 doubles during a game to my 1). The difficult setting is practically impossible to win for reasons already stated; it’s no fun playing a game knowing you can’t win. I wish someone would come up with an app that rolls truly random dice.

  • Dice Roll is Rigged

First, when I play my family, we roll doubles to decide who goes first, at least once a night (if not multiple times) yet after playing for a few months, it hasn’t happened once.
Second, the number of times the dice rolls the ONLY available spot for the computer to get on the board vs the number of times I am able to roll that when there are multiple spots available.... are ASTOUNDING!
Third, I have been denied available moves randomly but every single time to the computer’s benefit. I literally just rolled a 3 and a 5. I was able to move 3 spots but would have knocked out the opponent and was unable to manually select it. I even reread rules to see if I was wrong. I wasn’t.
Fourth, I wrote a review asking for strategic competition that isn’t dice related but never got a response. There is no other way to give feedback that I have found like with other game apps. At least use legit statistics, please.

  • Rigged

The computer nearly always wins the first roll. It nearly always has the perfect roll to cover its chips. If you have an open chip, it nearly always hits it. During take off... you may start ahead, but after the computer magically rolls doubles three times in a row you lose. Meanwhile the when your roll doubles it’s when your off the board and it just so happens those spaces are occupied. I have played skilled players in real life and have never seen dice change the laws of probability like this game does. Even though the probability of rolling a 3 is about 5.6 percent the player is “lucky” enough to consistently roll that number while the computer is rolling constant doubles. Whatever opening move you make, if you leave a man open the computer rolls exactly what it needs to take you off the board. The level adjustment doesn’t make the computer more skillful. It just makes the dice roll in its favor more often. Complete bs.

  • The AI is always superior

I downloaded this game for my dad and then even bought it to make the ad disappear. The star is really only for the outer and the two player mode. I do not understand what could have gone wrong with the algorithm that the computer wins 99% of all games, even if I set it to easy! Also, the AI ALWAYS really ALWAYS come out on the first try and I'm sure min 5x stupid and stupid dice every time is a proof that the dice are not accidentally thrown. Also, the AI every game min. 8-10x throws a Pasch and I have to hope for 1-2x is not really normal! I could throw the iPad against the wall after 5 minutes in the game so frustrating is this game. This annoys so incredibly and makes for my father and me playing really impossible! Even after all the complaints nothing has changed is incredible, as you can see how important the developer is our opinion. It just will not be deleted because we paid money for it and there is a two player mode. My request to the developers, please please change something on the AI otherwise the reviews will soon sink into the basement!

  • As bad as all backgammon apps

For many years I have been playing backgammon against humans and machines with a practical and theoretical background. I only play against programs because human opponents are not sufficiently available. I come to this program because the previously used app was discontinued online gaming. Unfortunately, I now have similar experiences with this app. There are very often situations where the app seems to suddenly be actively playing (via the dice) and "punishing" mistakes or inaccuracies. That's what I say, because I made these "mistakes" on purpose for "testing purposes". In addition, it comes with this app to an unusual accumulation of Paschs, that hardly a connoisseur of this program from a working random generator more out. A very disappointed backgammon friend recommends: rather plays against people!

  • backgammon

The most unfair game in the world. If you play very well, you can only get annoyed because your opponent gets so many double dice until he wins. If you do not need a dice combination, you even get it four or five times in a row. If thrown out, you'll come back in five-six dice; your opponent, on the other hand, will be right back. Your coins will also be stolen during the aggregation. Well, the game is just practicing to control your nerves. I hope to have my comment read, but I hardly believe it 😊😜 I do not understand how some people like this game. Everything is wrong and only lies. For example, you could theoretically choose whether or not automatic dicing takes place, but that does not work. Everything just to rip off money. Terrible !!!! That you need so many double dice to beat me shows that I am very very good 😊. For what you do to me, you know what fingers I would show you, right?

  • Easy to learn

I’m just learning Backgammon and this app makes it easy. I have the physical Backgammon board and got a bit frustrated trying to learn on it. With this app it shows you where you can place your checkers. I count out my moves before I click on a checker just to make sure I will be making a correct move, if it’s not right the app will show you where you can move it. There are different difficulty levels and options to play other people.

Overall I’m very happy with this app.

  • Why!

This game is free right? So why does it have to cheat? Whenever I have the upper hand, it will start rolling in favor of the computer. If you roll the dice and try to undo a move, the computer will move for u to benefit it's game. I love the game I just wish it was fair
This is my second review! The computer still cheats. I'm getting to the point where I don't even want to play it anymore . The computer does whatever it needs to do to cover his man or put you on the bar. I think it's ashame that your skill can't be displayed. How can I get better at this game if it's not fair? You need to make it a equal game

  • Great game

I would have given this 5 star if they fix 2 major annoying things
1- the number of doubles computer gets is not random it’s unbelievably high vs the player, please fix this!
2 - in a normal game whoever wins the last game gets to throw first dice on start of next game , but this app requires both players to roll dice to see who gets to start next game, this should be an easy fix
Once these are fixed it’s one of the best games I came across with , excellent job!
3- when one player has all his home slots filled and one of opponent pawns is out awaiting to be seated , it should automatically let the player keep rolling the dice till he moves his pawns at least out of one slot so the opponent has now a chance to roll dice and seat the ousted pawn, instead the opponent is required to roll the dice every time even though his dice roll is totally useless and time consuming!
Please fix these few simple yet important things and you have the best game in the market!

  • Backgammon

This game is pretty good, but I have two problems with it: the computer is programmed to hit any of the opponent's open men, without regard to strategy. Second, when the computer Is ready to bear off, about 90% of the time when the computer rolls a one it leaves the man sitting is the one spot and moves a man further away closer to the one spot. These two flaws are biased to benefit the opponent; however, it is still a very good game and requires the opponent to use his/her strategic skills. I particularly like winning after the computer has put five of my men on the bar and I come back and win.
UPDATED REVIEW: they have changed the game and the computer will not always allow you to make moves you choose. I do not understand why. Example: I just rolled. 2 and 3. I bumped my opponent with the 2 and tried to move the same disk to a point with other men which would have made that disk safe. It did not allow that which left that disk vulnerable, and sure enough, it got bumped! TERRIBLE CHANGE TO THE GAME.
UPDATED REVIEW: I am enjoying the game more with the current updates.
