Garbage customer service
I’m trying to book a flight that might need to be changed so I reached out to customer service asking how the fare difference is calculated for a round trip when the depart flight is already taken. It’s hard to have the representative get my question even though it’s written clearly in plain English. Once they got the question they told me they won’t be able to explain and I will only know the cost when I do the actual change. I was expecting there is clear rules to explain and customers can make the best decision accordingly. It is frustrating to know the airline can’t tell you how flight change fee will be calculated.

Cathay, Cathay, how I love you. Every time I start to book, for you and only you I look. For if I am flying to Hong Kong, Taiwan, or so on. I will search for a flight with you. From your perfect seat, to your modern fleet, everything about you is really neat. A ranking higher than the sky your planes fly. Airbus or Boeing, you keep on going, with your perfect flights, Throughout the days or nights. You will always, always, be right, on time.

I found the app is easy to use if notification is sent to you to access facility.

Failure to match passport
The app should have software that matches the passport name to the ticketed name. The use of Nicknames like the common Bob for Robert or Bill for William results in a rejection at the airport checking in. After failing to match names and a cancelled flight, Cathy demonstrates terrible customer service by charging a fee to cancel and a higher cost for the same ticket as a same day booking. With your valued standing in the airport you forced me to pay to fly. Had your software worked this never would have happened. I have filed a complaint so let’s see if you fix it or behave like bandits like crooks robbing your own customers. If not fixed it must be widely communicated on social media to avoid flying Cathy because you will definitely not arrive in better shape !

Listed phone number that cost huge overseas charges
I had to call the airline to book tickets because I have a young child. The phone number listed in the app is an international number and I was not adequately warned about potential charges. The person on the phone took extra long and I ended up with a huge phone bill. Absolutely unbelievable!!
