Last update has issues
I’ve used Golfshot for years and love it. However, this last update has messed up scoring (a rather important feature when playing a round). There were multiple times when I put the scores in for my group after a hole this past weekend, only to look at the scorecard a few holes later and see multiple holes not having scores entered. AR
The app was fine before the latest update. Now it seems that it struggles to find the correct distances. I love the app before latest update. If there was gonna be any type of upgrade, seems like it would be for the main function which is GPS. Thanks golfshot for making a already difficult game a little more difficult.Show lessNeh4real
Good App, No purpose to AR
I paid $30 a few years ago and have been using golf shot as my main golf app. I thought it was neat that they added an AR feature which makes the app look like a range finder. However, the AR feature is pointless. It tells you the same distance as your app. I thought with the camera, it might give a different reading, but it just shows the same number just with a picture you provide it. If you are looking at this app, get it for all of its benefits, don’t get it for the AR feature.Show lessMineS44
Still Buggy
Not sure why but paying the addition monthly fee allowed me to connect the app to my iWatch. I thought purchasing the $30 Pro option gave you access to iWatch capabilities!?
Now that I’ve used it for 2 weeks, 6 rounds, I find that I love the features but hate the bugs it seems to have. Too often the both phone and iWatch will show the incorrect distance. Closing out the app and returning does not help. It returns to incorrect distance. Also the iWatch will lag behind such that I have to return to the cart to get the distance from the iPhone. Let the buyer beware
Don’t be too enamored with the AR function that looks really neat on the advertisement to purchase PLUS. Purchasing PLUS will not get you what they show you - it will not be available to you as shown unless you give them more money to add PRO beyond your PLUS purchase price. What the AR function gives you with PLUS is nothing more than you will already have. So the AR component is a waste with simply PLUS. They don’t tell you that in the ad. They only reel you in with it. I bit the hook because I like what I saw about the AR function but was duped by the neat ad, thinking naturally that I would get what they showed me. Only now I am told that to get the full function I will need to pay more. You would thing a reputable company would tell you that up front. Not these guys! Beware - don’t buy this thinking you’ll get the AR as shown like I did. Very disappointed in their lack of up front disclosure. The rest of the program is fine but no better than other apps that do the same thing. The tie breaker for me was the AR function which I did not actually get as advertised. Update to my previous 5 star review. This is the most functional golf app...for Apple Watch and stand alone on iPhone. I leave my iPhone in the golf bag...and play 18 holes with 50% power left on Series 3 Watch and hardly any lost iPhone charge. Getting competent using hazards yardage on Watch. For those out of the rough save shots, the iPhone display is easy and fastest method to figure where to hit. Brilliant idea to keep hitting circle stationary and let map scroll underneath. The Club Recommendations is very useful. I like that I can add players on the fly, GHIN link and email scorecard. CS has been good. Shot tracking from Watch is a big plus! First I didn’t think AR feature was more than a gimmick; but I now see its usefulness especially with a blind flag situation. A cool option that gives a nice visual on the course...well I guess I’ll take the iPhone out of the bag more, but overall I normally have to use only my watch... which speeds the game, with less obvious use of my actual phone( most people don’t realize I’m using an iPhone!) I tried Swing by Swing, Hole 19, 18 Birdies, Track my Golf, InfoTalkGPS, The Grint, GolfNow...GolfShot Plus AR is the BEST. PS: I am now used to and accepting the color coded Birdie, Bogey scoring system 😊 all good!Show less-inMass

Let me start by saying I love this app and I use it all the time. When this app came out I purchased everything. What i’m disappointed about is during the upgrade you guys took features away that I already paid for then added them back with monthly and/or yearly subscription. For example (Golfscape) I bought this app and now it’s being called Golfscape AR. The free version of this app don’t compare to the app that I bought but the only to get the feature I lost is to pay for them monthly or yearly. Do you guys really that’s fare?Show lessBig18Blitz
Great App!!
I’ve used Golfshot Plus for a few years now and am extremely pleased with its performance. I currently have over 589 rounds saved and totally depend on this app to post all of my rounds. I primarily use the scorecard feature and on unfamiliar courses, use the gps features quite heavily for distances to hazards.

Apple watch
The app performs badly with the apple watch. Watch drops out constantly. Screen disappears every time you need to check distance. Developers don’t seem to have tested this on a physical device. I wont bother using the watch with it until there is an update. App works well otherwise.Eskylidder

Still the best app out there, hands down.
There are only two suggestions I could make: given that you already collect bunker shot and penalty shot data, you could easly include graphs/stats for bunkers and penalties per game. These two shot wasters are high on the list of things beginners and high handicappers should focus on, and just as important to work on as missed fairways, if not more so.Show lessyyz668
