I continue to rely on Golfshot for every round. Tracking my swings is easy and I like looking at my stats after my rounds. Distances are accurate. I also noticed my scores weren’t showing up for some holes but realized I was accidentally pressing next instead of the save button after contacting support. Love Hate with Golfshot
I purchased the premium version while golfing in Hawaii that’s the Love part of this. I live in Alaska and all my maps on this app are snow and ice I can’t see bunkers greens or tees. I’ve talked to a number of representatives from the company, most just blame Google for the maps, I did talk to one guy who said that shouldn’t be right we pay for updated maps all the time. Bottom line it’s been months (yes MONTHS) with no resolution. Apparently Alaska is not a big enough market to worry about for them. Do your research before paying for the Premium Service. I’m now looking toward Hole 19 at least their maps have green grass on them. Very frustrated from Alaska. I was not offered a refund or anything.Show lessJim Alaskan Golfer
Great Flexible App
I’ve used this app for years on my iPhone and IPad. I like the fact that you can customize the Stableford scoring that we use in our golf matches. The GPS is accurate and it is an all-around top notch golf app. I recently had a problem where the app was crashing and unusable on my iPad2 that is mounted in my golf cart. The support and follow-up was excellent and fast with an update being published within a week. Working fine again. Highly recommend.Show lessLab11812
Apple Watch app broken
Another update and again apple watch app is broken, when starting the app on the iPhone the watch will automatically load up like it should, but then will not recognise a round is startedLlamma79

I’ve used this app for years and love it. 5 stars on iPhone. 2 stars with Apple Watch. I’ve tried it with every iteration of the Apple Watch. The series 3 is finally the one with little to no lag but it really needs the option to use GPS from the watch itself and NOT have to turn off BT from iPhone. Playing a round on the iPhone consumes very little battery. However, using the Apple Watch just devours battery capacity on the phone with the repeated intermittent connectivity during the round.Show lessnot-a-new-fan
Inexpensive GPS yardage
Cheaper than watch or laser. I have yet to find a course that they don’t have- everything from the worst dog-track munis to private clubs, even overseas courses.
You can pick a location if there’s multiple greens. It will track shots if you want, will count your scores if you enter them and want the analytics. The best use is really the simple yardage and overhead view of the hole (“oh yeah, there’s a creek up there before the green”).
The issues are minor and are really GPS related... sometimes the GPS can get a little wonky and give reads that are off. And you have to have your phone on you, which isn’t ideal.
A good value, even if you only use it sparingly for yardage confirms.Show lesspatfoley
Need more features
I’ve been using the app for many years now. It’s a very basic system and has now been overtaken by better app. This app no longer gives enough stats i.e record iron shots left right, shot or long.jhgdgfxcfgdsjres
