Great app missing 1 feature
A lot of great features. Love getting distances and tracking shots from the watch. Love the ability to post to GHIN immediately. Like the stats. One thing is keeping me from giving 5 stars. Another free app we use offers live communal scoring. Everybody can put their own score in and it shows up on the virtual scorecard for all to see. This is especially handy if you have 2 groups playing. Add that feature and this will be a five star app for me.Show lessGregor963
Best Value Golf GPS Yardage App
Several years ago my “techie” golf partner introduced me to Golfshot Classic, which evolved into Golfshot Plus(+) as it is called now. Works great on every course I’ve played, accurate, easy to read yardages and, which I especially liked, just a one-time cost and that’s it. Golfshot also offers a more robust version called Golfshot Pro, with a lot more features - also reasonably priced- but I only needed the yardages, so I’m sticking with Golfshot + for now. I highly recommend this golf app. BTW, I’m a 14 handicap. A couple of my golf league buddies use Garmin GPS golf yardage watches, etc. and my Golfshot + is every bit as accurate as theirs at a quarter of the cost. Finally, when I got a new iPhone, the Golfshot app easily migrated to the new phone, too. I love my Golfshot+ - can you tell?Show lessIguanaBob

Once you’ve set your profile photo on Golfshot Pro you can’t change it anymore which is really not very pro. I’ve twice requested the developer to look into this but all I get is a standard answer that they’ll look into it. It’s been 2 years now and nothing’s changed. Really really frustrating, downloaded a $40 app on my way to play golf. Heard great things about the app but for some reason there’s no icon for this app within the Apple Watch app so that I can install it on my watch.

Long story short, GolfShot+ quickly responded to my email regarding the issue. Gave some general feedback, the app eventually synced into the watch app on its own. Would recommend downloading 2-3 days before the first round you intend to use this app just to be sure. Other than that the app works great and does what it’s supposed to do!Show lessseasickdyl

I used to love Golfshot. Unfortunately, it’s become much harder for me to recommend it for my friends. The key feature that is ruining the experience is the auto-advance feature. I turned it on and I had a very poor experience. The app started auto-advancing to the next hole while I was still standing on the green of the current hole. So, when I opened the app to put in my score, I had to be sure to back track the app to the current hole. Before I realized this was happening, I kept skipping holes on my score card and giving myself incorrect scores for the hole the app thought I was on. Let’s not even get into the frustrations I felt when I was in the rough of the current hole, which auto-advanced me to the next hole and started giving me distances to the wrong green!
All this is fair enough, right? It’s a buggy feature, just turn it off, right? You would be WRONG!! I turned the feature off in settings and it continued to auto-advance using GPS location. So the app is constantly and frequently showing me information for a hole I’m not playing. It’s very frustrating and it needs to be fixed. I cleared a green with my sand wedge by 30 yards the other day because I had the wrong distance. The app just can’t be trusted.Show lesschamp2153
Putting Please
Yes there are a lot of things to like about golf shot and there was a time I would’ve rated the app five stars. But if 50% of golf is putting and chipping then why aren’t there more optional statistics in those areas. Golfshot’s stats are supposed to help you get better but very little effort has been made in this area. As a low handicapper these would be more helpful. Another app has spent a lot of effort on putting but your interface is far superior. Please allow for more statistics and let low handicappers improve their putting !!Show lessMoesapples
What Is Going On With The iPad/Air Glitch
The new version drops off the mili-second you try to add your hole score. Reported the issue weeks ago and Ms. Sara keeps stating “...we are working on it...” - how much longer?
I have had this app for many years starting in the Middle-East -to- Africa and now it does not work on my iPad Air either Pro/Plus or Regular... total bummer for a semi-retiree who plays every day:(.
PLEASE get it fixed!
Clarification: this is truly the best golf scoring application on the market and if I had to wait another month for the current problem to be fixed, I would.
I did not realize (and I probably should have) that Apple is a big player in this issue hence the probable delay in getting the fix implemented. The Golfshot Support Team has answered all of my inputs. T. Jones

This app was the best ever. Then someone decided they needed to incorporate Facebook into it. People want to play golf. They use to have a running list of people who you regularly played with. You could recall the list and input them onto the score card. Some dope,that I'm sure doesn't play golf, removed that option on the last upgrade. So now if you don't have that person in your contacts list or in Facebook you can't input them. It takes up to much time trying to get the score card ready before you tee off. Please bring back the running list of players on the next upgrade. Other then that the app works great. It gives you info extremely fast which is what you need.
Also this app freezes up every time during the round even though I have full cell service. Don’t waste your moneyShow lessis tgereanamenittaken
