  • Outstanding

This is one of my favourite games out there by far. A game from 1999 yet it's reputation and pure awesomeness of it makes it seem like it's better than any game on the App Store. Flappy bird can get wrecked by king of dragon pass. A truley worthy game for my iPad.
  • BEST GAME EVER!

Hands down, this is the best game i've ever played on a phone... Worth every cent!
  • Amazing

Deep gameplay and a rare gem in the AppStore.

If you are even remotely interested in this type of game then you will not be disappointed.
  • Pure Genius

In an increasingly popular 'cyoa' genre, KoDP stands apart via it's depth, detail and replayability. A text-based Civilisation with more personality, if you will. I've lost countless hours to this game, and expect I'll lose many more; hats off to the devs, and I hope to see more like it.
  • Très bon jeu de rôle

    Jeu avec une rejouabilité infinie.
    Je le recommande fortement!
  • Amazing

    True masterpiece.
  • Just-one-more-turn!

A game about making important decisions with an atmosphere of mythology and mystery. The timeless presentation and tribe-management gameplay result in that just-one-more-turn feeling.
  • Great, but frustrating at times.

This game is one of the best civilization games on the App Store, rivaled by the only the mightiest, like Ascendancy and Civilization itself. Out of all the games that are based on civilization building, this is the most dynamic and random...of course that can lead to frustration at times, as my first clan was suddenly wiped out with no warning, or how there isn't much of a warning system when it comes to lack of cattle. And then there are times when I felt like the game just hated me and randomly threw large armies and death my way.

The lore, though....the lore is a masterpiece. This game is incredibly deep with intriguing mythology and great artwork. There are pages upon pages of basic lore, and that's just the surface. There are quests you can send your leaders on in which you kind of create your own myth and history.

If you enjoy total control of a civilization, this game probably won't be to your liking. But this game should not be missed; it is simply a masterpiece

  • Satisfactory

Though the iOS version of this game has many improvements and is mechanically better than the original, the removal of saving/loading cause a forced "ironman run", making it unable to be played casually and almost impossible to win on any difficulty.
I would recommend this to players that enjoy the challenge, but I personally do not.

    Developer Response

You can restore the game to the end of any year in the Saga screen — no ironman needed.
  • Still Amazing

I thought I would redo my review. The last one I stated that I love it and you should get it. Well I want to say it again. Get this game, period. It's worth the extra couple bucks because it will draw you into a world like no other. I'm not being melodramatic either, it's great! I actually feel like a Village leader! The replayability is there still and it's going strong. I love the fact that they updated it and added a few more issues/events. Makes you want to cry when one of the elders gets old and either dies or leaves, no other game has hit me in the heart like this one haha. Too many random events? Are you kidding me? How many random events happen to you during just one week?!? It's perfect. If you only like arcade style games and shooting people in the face though, this game is much too deep and complex then. Immersion? Yes please! Haha.
