Long time Groupon fans but…

we have made many purchases ranging from overnight stays to dining to personal services and products. overall we are pretty satisfied or we would not continue to purchase coupons. But some notes of caution – 1. some vendors substantially jack up the value price of the coupon to make the Groupon deal look better. 2. be aware of what the description does not tell you as well as what is included – for example the availability and cost of parking – we just paid $25 for parking in order to attend an event with a price tag of $19 per person. 3. linens and towels may not be as represented – I. E. Soft and luxurious as advertised or color not accurately reflected in the ad. make sure you know the depth of your mattress since some of the sheets are not deep enough for your mattresses, and whether you have a king or Cal King because they use different size sheets. 4. for cosmetic medical services, do some homework to learn how much of a product you will probably actually need. Typically the amount sold on a deal is not enough and you will need to purchase more, at the facility's going rate. 4. fine dining- be prepared for a 20% tip automatically added on to their "retail" value , & $25/bottle corkage if you bring your own wine –– also be aware that some of the certificates have a special limited menu from which you must choose your selections.

Customer Service non existent

While, I enjoy the deals that Groupon provides, being a user for many years the service has gone downhill, there is no chat or phone number to call for assistance or support anymore, the support link only goes through a list of FAQ with no option to talk to anyone, not even an option to email a process that is the worst of the worst when it comes to customer service and that usually takes 24 to 48, but at least you can communicate with someone. You used to be able to call someone a Groupon... this no longer exists, I hate chat support as well because it is frustrating but at least you can have some back-and-forth and get a resolution quickly… but Groupon doesn't to chat OR Email anymore for Customer Service or Support! When speaking to the businesses that I purchased Groupon with, not one business is 100% happy with Groupon each one of them tells me horror stories about trying to work with them… This business model could be amazing like it was 7+ years ago--but unfortunately, you have to purchase something and hope for the best, again. I love the service and I love the discounts… But I always feel like something could go wrong any second when I purchased something from them and I have no one to reach out to! It's like a gamble, like purchase at your own risk. Sadly, it makes me purchase less than I used to.!

Like Family

I have been with Groupon for many years now and have experienced many purchases. I have had numerous holiday breaks, all of which have been very enjoyable and great value for money. Furthermore, I have made several purchases over the years and saved a great deal of money with the incredible offers from Groupon. All transactions have been trouble free and I have been well looked after throughout my dealings, and have been made to feel a valued customer. In fact, the trouble free way with which I have been looked after all these years had made me feel like Groupon had been one of the family. An integral part of our lives, as many purchases have been for the benefit of others within my family network. I would and have recommended Groupon many times and continue to do so!

Groupon took my money and provided zero customer service

I am extremely disappointed with Groupon’s customer service. I purchased a $300 voucher as a gift for my sister, which expired while she was overseas. Despite reaching out for help and even getting confirmation from the restaurant that they were willing to honor the voucher, Groupon has been completely unhelpful. Their response has been pathetic, with no timely email replies, and they’ve refused to extend or even offer credit to use the amount elsewhere.

It feels like Groupon has taken our money and kept it, passing nothing on to the restaurant, leaving us unable to use a very expensive voucher. I expected much better service for such a significant purchase, but instead, Groupon has provided none. I won’t be purchasing from them again.

Thank you 😊

As usual you are absolutely brilliant. I can generally find what I’m looking for plus some surprise items. Being disabled I am unable to get out much so Groupon is perfect for me. You have so many beautiful and useful items and make it easy to get gifts for family and friends. One if the latest was a glass workshop as a gift for my friend and it was the perfect day out with lunch nearby and easy parking (and I got to enjoy it too) so thank you Groupon I love having you at my fingertips. What else can I say? Christmas presents are no longer a struggle xxx Cannot think of anything else except to say that the prices are great and I love shopping with Groupon. Enjoyed glass workshop so much it is birthday present for granddaughter and again, i get to enjoy it too.
The above comments still apply. Always exciting to find a new product to try.

Poor business service!!

My experience with Groupon has been quite frustrating. As a business owner, I expected more control over my discount offerings and quicker responses to my inquiries, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. One of the biggest issues I've faced is the requirement to get approval from an "account manager" just to change the discount percentage on my deals. This process is slow and cumbersome, often taking several days for a response to my emails. Even their 24/7 chat support couldn't help much—they could only redirect me back to my account manager for any changes. As a business owner, flexibility in setting discounts is crucial. Initially, I offered a 40% discount to attract customers, which was manageable for my business. However, when I tried to adjust this percentage later on, my account manager refused to accommodate the change, despite my explanations and requests. I have emails proving this frustrating back-and-forth. Adding to the frustration is the long wait times for responses. Waiting 24 to 48 hours for a simple answer is simply not acceptable in today's business environment. In summary, Groupon's customer service policies need serious improvement. Business owners should have more control over their promotions without such bureaucratic delays. Until these issues are resolved, I cannot recommend Groupon as a reliable platform for businesses looking to manage their deals effectively.

Excellent Savings on Beauty Services

I am absolutely thrilled with Groupon! This app has been a game-changer for me, especially when it comes to booking beauty services. The amount of money I've saved is incredible, and I love finding great deals on everything from massages to haircuts. The only minor downside is that it's wise to do a quick Google search of the business before purchasing, as not every place offers the same quality. Nonetheless, I am obsessed with how affordable everything is on Groupon. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to save big!

Refund seem to have got better

Update 2.1.22 I am having a lot of trouble getting a refund. I am also fed up with buying goods as they almost always fail to impress. I stopped using Groupon several times in the past because I would order things and not get round to using them. I think I lost a few in the pandemic but they did refunds nearly all of them spontaneously so that’s good and I have now discovered there is an easy button on the main screen to request a refund. Fingers crossed.
That button doesn’t appear to be available anymore and the phone number doesn’t seem to work anymore or the email. So I had to get in touch with a chat bot or possibly a real person and request a refund that way.
I have also noticed that the refund only seems to be about 90%
And when I say refund, it’s only appears to be available as Groupon credits. This is fine but just so you know.

I will not be using groupon again

If anything goes wrong with the app or your groupon you will not be getting your money back. Good luck talking to customer service — it’s through chat in the app, there’s no number to call or accountability.
