  • This app could be amazing

I paid for the irig stomp and I used this app at first and I continue to try and use the wah pedal but it keeps malfunctioning and not working with the pedal like it should. I also think that it could use some improvements as far as linking capabilities with Logic Pro X and Mainstage.
  • Lots of potential

Love this app. I also own an iRig Stomp IO. One thing the app has missing for me is a volume pedal. Sure you can assign the pedal that comes with the iRig stomp to the volume knob of the speakers but the effect won’t be the same since the volume of a speaker affects the tone of your instrument. I would also like to see more pedals for bass. I am mainly a bass player but bought this rig to explore more guitar options.

  • It just plays it’s own music

I tried to connect this to an iPhone 7 using the apple adapter. Nothing happens except there are some visuals that kinda look like vintage amps.

I also tried it with a five year old iPad. What’s different on the iPad is the app plays a loop of annoying guitar licks through the iPad speaker even though it’s connected via Bluetooth to a Bose speaker.

I can’t make this work like it’s supposed to.

  • Nice apps but very noises

Is a free. Version you cannot expect to much. I like the clean tone but super noicely adding the noice gate even at the minimal level turn out the tone totally. The drummer fantastic for practice.
I compare with JamUp and I like AmpliTube layout better but my only issue is the noice, even my cheap analog Stop-box in my pedalboard is quieter that anything in amplitude

  • Barely Functional

Using with the horribly noisy iRig 2 ( also a 3 star product).
You get bare bones functionality unless you purchase a lot of extra, expensive extra amps and pedals. You could easily spend over $200 to get the same functionality as a Katana 50 which costs just a bit more and, well, is actually an amp!

  • Great song writing tool

I love the guitar tones and upgraded to the 8-track bundle. It’s great for traveling and can import and export tracks for remixing in a DAW.
  • needs help

Pan function doesnt work unless you disconnect and reconnect the iphone.
Then the pan works but the input signal stops working. So you cant use pan while youre recording AND you have to shut the session down and re open to pan and mix the session after its recorded.

Split track function doesnt work at all on iPhone.

  • BPM Sync Does Nothing

I use this app live. It’s never crashed, and the sounds are pretty good. But I will never give this more than 1 star until they make the BPM sync feature intuitive. At present, it does nothing, or perhaps it somehow works, but I can’t figure out how. Make that work, and this is a 5 star app.
  • Awesome

Great, not only for practice but also for recording and listen live. Is like having thousands of dollars of equipment at the palm of your hand. I used with an amp or a PA system and the sound is amazing.
  • Great for practicing

The amps sound great for quiet practicing. I’m on a tour of duty in Kuwait and need to be quiet with my playing. It really sounds incredible with a pair of powered, noise-cancelling headphones. With regular headphones though, it can get staticky and muted. I did plug it in my old Fender 110 amp at home before I left and it made that crappy little amp sound good. I currently use the iRig 2 interface with it, so an HD or HD2 would probably make it sound even better.

The recording feature is great for saving ideas for recalling them in the future. Bump up to the 8 track recorder and drum machine, you could probably write an entire song on it.

It can get pricy with the in app purchases of other amps and features. But if you buy the bundles you could save quite a bit of money.

Overall, I’m happy with the app.
