  • Lifesaver!

This app is truly a life saver. Not only are there tons of selections, they even have restaurant foods listed. I once had a request, and they added the item for me. This is a great tool. There's enough to worry about having to keep up with dialysis and the kids. Thanks, KidneyDiet!
  • Kidney Diet

This app is great. I use it every time I take my grandfather to lunch or dinner, after he had a kidney transplant 2 years ago. The add food button is a great feature allowing for new foods to be updated to the list. Thanks Kidney Diet!!
  • Terrible interface

Interface is terrible for older people. Takes too long to enter meals and doesn't save common combinations. Also doesn't even save previous days' diet. Only let's you email it.
  • Foods?

Mostly useless without more foods. I mean, where is cream cheese ... And thousands of other foods. I know that almost every food is data-base'd so should be easy enough to populate more foods. Otherwise this app is just an example for the next developer, who would surely make the list complete.
  • Delete restaurants

    Applebee's, McDonalds
and Popeye's? Who in their right mind with bad kidneys would set foot in there? Sorry I paid for this.

    Review.2
Still dumbfounded. This app is not a guide for an optimal kidney diet. I want my money back.
  • Needs much improvement!

First, this app is WAY over priced! This app needs bar code scan capabilities, the searching capabilities need to be refund so that if you search for "apple", applesauce will show up also (just an example). In addition, this should also be able to graph your progress. Lastly, i think any kidney patient would appreciate a place to annotate their BP, Pulse, Weight, and temp. Otherwise, the concept is great. I will give 5 stars if the above is addressed, which would make the cost of this app worth it.

  • For $7.99, I expected more.

The app handles all the basics well enough, and I understand that it's ad-free, but it could and should be much more. Its UI is overly simple and its functions are limited. I'd like to see additional functions for creating recipes, daily averaging, an option to edit foods, a list of recent or commonly-used foods, and a way to track dry weight for dialysis patients. An easier way to flip through days would be great also.

  • Sadly inadequate for basic usage

Operationally this is a great ap. Love the email feature. BUT many BASIC foods missing (reg. mayo, raw cabbage, white rice cakes although many of brown rice, and many more important core foods). This lacking is further complicated by the no feature to customize a food. Otherwise, off to a good start.

  • Worth the Price

A great app for ESRD patients! The only issue I have with it would be not being able to establish a profile or presets for the foods you eat on a regular basis. It's burdensome when you have to go back to the list of foods for each new day. Often people will eat the same foods several days a week and it would be sooo much easier if the app offered the ability to create a separate list of food fav's. Otherwise, it's a useful app for those who need to know what's in the food they eat. Worth the price.

  • Thanks a bunch

Great app. I am currently on a renal diet and this app makes watching my daily input a breeze.
