  • Works great

Tryed it beside a real decibel reader and worked well. Only thing is iPhone mic is limited to 100 db, nothing against the app
  • Pretty accurate and free!

This app seems to be pretty accurate. I compared it with my Radio Shack meter and it reads within a few db. Only change I would like to see is a digital readout in addition to the analog one. I think a lot of the negative reviews are from people that don't understand how sol meters work... Even in a room you think is "silent" a meter will still read 30-40db...that's just the way it is...

  • As advertised

As stated by the other users, it works just fine. I compared it my spl meter and it's almost dead on. Spl is sound pressure level by the way. Like the others said, do your homework!
  • Works

Works perfect. Those other who say the db level is too high don't understand what's a normal level. Come on people, do your research first
  • Very good!!

Surprisingly accurate and perfect for me as I am putting a 42 inch tv in my room and my room is in the middle of the house.. Badly needed something to measure the sound accurately Perfect for every use!!
  • One is Too many!

I run sound at my church of 400, and needed a decibel meter. My sound is set at 79-81 decibels; but according to this ap it's at 90. I even lower my volume to 10% but it was still at 90 decibels. Restarting the ap doesn't help either. Don't bother with this dud ap.
  • Works fine

You will never see a decibel reading of zero. It does not exist. Go spend $100 on a real decimeter. You will find it works about the same as this app. Before you post, do some research.
  • Very good

About time I found a fairly accurate spl meter, great app, but I'm yet to find one that can measure my 4000w soundsystem, it's ok I do look after my ears, I do spl comps :D
  • great free app!

This app is working great for me! I am an engineer and although it is a few db out (5-7db) @ 85db, it is a handy reference tool when I'm out and about.

    protect your ears people :)

Thanks alot to the dev(s) for their time and effort. It is very much appreciated
  • It has potential

This app is not really for me. It's not as accurate as I would hope. It detected 70db in my bedroom. With no noise what so ever. But it's like whatever I measure. It has 50db added to it
