I have played hundreds of games and this is in my top 5. Simply a delight, and because of the unique way to move your tanks and planes it never gets old.

Don't listen to the haters, they simply aren't skilled enough to play this incredible game. Give it a chance and it will be in your top 5.

  • Great!

The most entertaining and original game I have played in a long time
  • Next cult following

This game will have a cult following before long. This game combines skill and some chance with the way you draw lines to shoot and move. I love this game, when playing multiplayer it's as close to the sense that you are "sitting in a cabin or some remote place with friends and family playing a board game that you made up." Well worth the money.

Developers - Great Job. I hope you make lots of money, and keep the updates coming. One added feature that would be nice is for chat in multiplayer.

  • Frustration Defined

So how is Lead Wars? I can't say. You see, you have to finish all the tutorial missions to get to the game...and some of the tutorial missions give you only the exact number of moves and shots needed to finish them perfectly. Every time. Coupled with the inherently imprecise pencil control, this is a recipe for endless frustration as your almost-there tutorial game is blown by an errant swipe or the whims of the screen, while the long list of missions taunt you, locked away beyond your reach. Adding insult to injury is the fact that there's no undo or reset function, forcing you to play out your humiliation on each mission before being given the chance to start over.

I've given this game multiple hours of play, and I'm still stuck in learning mode, with no way of breaking out of trying anything else. 2 stars for being only $2.99 and not wasting any more of my money on this turkey, but that's it.

  • Close but no cigar

Two stars for bringing this beloved game from my youth to digital, unfortunately the controls made it near impossible to play, let alone enjoy it.
  • Interesting controls

    But overall nothing really special
  • Get your lead out

This game is fantastic, it's an excellent blend of tactics and skill which really shine in multiplayer.
The game was clearly a labour of love for its developer, with attention to detail showing throughout.
There's a detailed campaign system, that can be really challenging at times, all the multiplayer options you'll ever need and even a map editor for single player and multiplayer use; what more could you possibly want for free.
As for the comments regarding controls, well the whole point of this game is the control system, so marking this game down on that basis is really more a reflection of your own abilities and not those of the game design. Did you even watch the intro video?

  • Very well done! Unique game, lots of fun...

I think peeps who wrote a bad review didn't know about the original paper & pencil game. For those of us who played the game as kids, this is an excellent re-creation. There is a bit of a learning curve going through the tutorial, but I'm really glad I stuck it out b/c this game is a super mix of strategy and action!

  • Fun fun game

Come on people, what is wrong with you? Yes you can't master the game ten seconds after you pick it up.... how is that a bad thing? This game has a little bit of a learning curve but it is great fun and very satisfying to get the hang of....
  • :')

I can't go a day without playing this. If you're intelligent, you'll be able to use the controls easily. I love this game. Although you could probably include a more "capture the flag" concept. That'd be hella fun :3
